It appears the Russian Storm-1516 narrative laundering campaign has finally come for the U.S. midterms.
Yesterday they placed a false story on X saying James Talarico sexually assaulted one of his students in 2012.
This follows the Russian playbook. Let me show you how.

Before Trump returned to office, the FBI obtained an extraordinary document: a 50 page confession from a defense contractor named Martin Kao.
What he told them was shocking: he had bribed members of Congress.
His most important patron, he said, was Senator Susan Collins.

Ron White to Joe Rogan: Talarico didn't cost this state $6 million in fines and lawsuits, and that happened with Ken Paxton. Guess who paid that $6 million? You and me paid the $6 million for his bribery. His own party impeached him. He's a criminal. He's a piece of shit.

Breaking: Macklemore was just kicked off Ed Sheeren’s tour for speaking out against genocide.
Here is what he said:
“Free Palestine! I want those words to be loud and clear so the people from Gaza all the way to the occupied West Bank know we have not forgotten them. To all of my Jewish brothers and sisters: criticism of Israel, criticism of apartheid, being against genocide is in no way a criticism of you. My message is for peace. Love for all human beings to be treated with dignity, respect, and equality. None of us will be free until we are all free.”
Israel has killed over 100,000 Palestinians and has also killed free speech in the United States.

What a perfect response.
People like Ted Cruz will continue to fail in their attempts to characterize Mayor Mamdani as someone filled with hate.
Mamdani’s words & deeds demonstrate every day that he is an extraordinary leader and an extraordinary American.
He loves NYC & he loves the U.S.—not in a shallow & uncritical way that is based on myths & fairy tales but in a mature and rational way.
Mamdani is a leader who does not need others to mirror him in order to appreciate them and what they have to offer. His response to your question is a perfect illustration of this.
In this, as in so many of his actions, Mamdani is a shining example of an American and a leader.
Isn’t it wonderful that at a time when the President of our country so often speaks and acts with hate, the mayor of our largest city and the first American Pope both exude acceptance, understanding, and love?

A common response is “if they truly believe this, why are they still building it?” At OpenAI, many have not deeply internalized the civilizational stakes. At Anthropic, the stakes are well-understood, but they are locked in a race to get there first - they believe no one else will act responsibly, so they must do it themselves, despite the risk.

President Trump was not in the vicinity of the World Trade Center when it was hit. He was in Trump Tower, miles away from the towers and nearby One Liberty Plaza, which is/was also known as the US Steel building.
There was public concern in the days following the attack that One Liberty Plaza might collapse, but the authorities repeatedly said it was structurally sound, and there's not currently any public evidence Trump went into it amid these collapse worries (?), much less that he was rushed out by firefighters. In varying language, he has repeatedly claimed for years he was at Ground Zero with a large crew of his workers helping with the recovery in the days after 9/11, but people who were definititely on site have said they never saw him or a Trump-organized crew on site and that it wouldn't make sense for them to have had access; there are pictures and videos of Trump in the neighborhood in the following days, in a clean suit, but not on the actual site.
While campaigning in 2016, he told a version of today's story about being whisked away from One Liberty Plaza by big firemen, but he said in 2016 that the alleged incident happened "a couple of days" after 9/11 and claimed the creaky building was "not so far from us," instead of leaving open the impression he might've been a) inside it b) on 9/11 itself. xitter.cf/Acyn/status/2097340291…
Trump on 9/11: I was building a big building in New York, and I took the whole crew down there right after this happened., Wasn't too much we could do. We had other buildings, the United States steel building was creaking. I'll never forget two firemen. We thought it was coming down on top of us, and two firemen. Big, strong guys. And I'm not the smallest guy in the world. They grabbed me under the arms. They got to get out of here. And they literally lifted me up. This is not easy to do. I'm big. They lifted me up and they started running with me. I said, fellas, I can run myself.

John Konrad, a shipping analyst with a hundred fifty five thousand X followers, says he got far enough along toward becoming a Pentagon special government employee that he sold his stock portfolio to satisfy ethics requirements, then says he was ghosted by the administration before it went through. He was in the room for the first briefing of Hegseth's overhauled press corps. When Pounds's Pentagon job surfaced, Konrad wrote that if she is getting paid, good for her.
The relationships differ, but the ecosystem is real. Thomas Anderson, the retired colonel known as Cynical Publius with three hundred twenty-three thousand followers, declined to answer when a Washington Post reporter asked directly whether he holds SGE status like Pounds did. Adam D'Ortona is a different case entirely: an active-duty lieutenant colonel already known to work in Hegseth's orbit, running a partisan account with over a hundred thousand followers, and the Pentagon will not say what his role is or how it relates to DoD rules against partisan political activity by active-duty officers.
NEW: This is kinda wild. Pete Hegseth appears to be building a secret online troll army, beyond just DataRepublican
