Once again, Jovan Lukic had a terrific game for the Philadelphia Union yesterday in their 2-2 draw against Charlotte. There have been Serbian fans online recently who would like to see the midfielder called up to the national team. Lukic has admitted he’s seen the chatter online. Despite the chatter, he said he hasn’t had any conversations with the federation about a potential call-up. "Yeah, I mean, so far I’ve heard some things about it as well, but personally I wasn’t in touch with the federation, so I don’t know. That’s the dream of every player, and that’s my big goal to be a part of the national team, but I’m not in a rush. It’s how God says, and when I deserve it, I’m going to be there. With scoring his 19th goal of the season today against Charlotte, Milan Iloski is one goal away from becoming the first player ever to score 20+ goals in both MLS and USL Championship during a regular season. He said his thought's on being close to that record: "I didn't have the easiest of run as a young player. Orange County gave me a great opportunity to just play games, have fun and get back to scoring goals. Now I am back in MLS doing it at a higher level." #doop

Bruno Damiani (11) and Milan Iloski (18) became the first two forwards for the Philadelphia Union since 2022 to both score double-digit goals in MLS. Interim head coach Richter spoke about how important it is to get the duo firing this late in the season. "I want to highlight a lot the work that they do outside of scoring the goals that gets the team in position where we can create chances for them. Because in the style that we play, if they’re not working the way that they are, we don’t get these chances. "So what we ask them to commit to is a lot of work for the strikers, but when they get rewarded with good service, a lot of chances, and take those chances and get their goals, that work makes a little bit more sense." #doop

Danley Jean Jacques was ruled out for tonight’s game with a foot injury. Interim head coach Richter addressed the injury in his postgame press conference after the Union’s 3-1 win over the Chicago Fire. Richter said Danley picked up the injury against Real Salt Lake this past Saturday. When he announced that Agustín Anello would be the only player out for tonight’s match, he was hopeful that Danley would recover in time. Richter is hopeful the midfielder will be available this Saturday against Charlotte. #doop

Philadelphia Union defeat Chicago Fire 3-1, thanks to a brace from Bruno Damiani, with Milan Iloski also adding a goal. Let’s not forget the decisive second yellow card shown to former Philadelphia Union centerback Jack Elliott for pulling down Milan Iloski right before the break. That’s 14 games unbeaten, including a current eight-game winning streak. Big three points.

With Damiani scoring a brace tonight (11) and Milan Iloski (18) also scoring, it is the first time since 2022 that the Union have had both their forwards with double digit goals. Unbelievable what interim head coach Ryan Richter has been able to unlock.

Tonight’s Union lineup against Chicago Fire sees two changes from Saturday’s lineup as Jesús Bueno replaces the injured Danley Jean Jacques (foot) and Quinn Sullivan replaces Indiana Vassilev. I actually like Vassilev to the bench for this one as the Union are short on defensive mid help. Vassilev can sub in there for Bueno or Lukic, while Bender can play as a 10. 📸 Philadelphia Union #doop
