It was a great honour to be a guest of the President of the Italian Senate, the Hon. Ignazio La Russa @Ignazio_LaRussa MP, with the Secretary of State for Tourism, Hon. Gianmarco Mazzi @mazzi_gianmarco MP, and the Secretary General of the Senate’s Palace Dr Federico Silvio Toniato. during a visit in honour of the Leader of the House of Lords @ukhouseoflords 2022–2024, The Rt Hon Nicolas True CBE PC, who is now the Leader of the Opposition in the House of Lords @UKHouseofLords and also the Honorary President of the Italian Conservatives (Est. 2015) @ItalianTories which I founded and am chairing.
For this guided visit and the time together, a special thanks goes to the Hon. @griffitha @ClaireCoutinho and Richard Fuller are my new Economic Unit. Their job is to find the responsible tax cuts and reforms that let businesses grow, and make sure you feel it in your wages, weekly shop, bills and the cost of your home.
We will abolish stamp duty on your home, we will end the Family Farm Tax and Family Business Tax. And we will go further, with responsible plans so that families can keep more of what they earn.

Glad to see almost a whole page of the UK Italian national printed newspaper “La Notizia” featuring the two events at the Palace of Westminster (UK House of Lords, House of Commons) that I organised on 16 and 17 June, one of which I chaired and one I directed.The events gathered more than 300 people, Four Signor Members of the House of Lords @UKHouseofLords, House of Commons @HouseofCommons and the Italian Parliament, including the former Leader and the current Leader of the Opposition in the House of Lords, one MP’s former Ministers of State, and a Party Group Chair of the Italian Parliament Foreign Select Committee; together with world experts in drugs and representatives from various political, medical and academic institutions.Pleased to see the importance of these discussions and the people involved recognised in the press.
