ALLEGED ATTACK ON EUROPEAN DIPLOMATS: SERIOUS ACCUSATIONS REQUIRE SERIOUS EVIDENCE.
We urge caution before drawing conclusions from today's reports that European diplomats were attacked by masked Israelis in Judea and Samaria. Any violence against diplomats is unacceptable. The more serious the accusation, the greater the demand for compelling evidence.
Here is what we know:
- The diplomatic delegation entered a sensitive area with a history of confrontations without prior coordination with the IDF, as officially confirmed by the military. Such coordination is essential to protecting visiting diplomats and preventing violence.
- The visit included Bernard Baudoux, a French Communist Party mayor who previously raised the Palestinian flag over his municipal building, prompting French authorities to order its removal.
- Published footage shows masked individuals confronting a diplomatic vehicle. Separate images show a smashed window and a person lying on the ground. These images alone do not establish the complete sequence of events or individual responsibility. Those circumstances remain under investigation.
- Israeli police and forensic investigators have launched an investigation to establish the facts and identify those responsible.
These reports come amid concerns about a coordinated campaign to smear Israel and the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria during the annual olive harvest, relying on sensational headlines before the full facts emerge.
We may see further allegations in the coming days. By the time the evidence is fully examined, the reputational damage from premature conclusions may already be done.
We call on the public and responsible journalists to demand verifiable evidence, reject hearsay, and refuse to turn unproven allegations into a collective indictment of the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria.

I just called Washington Post photographer Heidi Levine, who was brutally attacked by violent rioters on Friday.
As President of the State of Israel, I strongly condemn this outrageous and shocking violence, both the terrible attack on Heidi and other grave incidents of violence, such as what took place today in Taybeh.
I expressed my deepest sorrow to Heidi and apologized for what she went through.
The despicable behavior of the perpetrators of this attack does not represent the citizens or the values of the State of Israel.
Israel is a democratic state governed by the rule of law, and it must act with full force against every form of violence. Each incident is being thoroughly investigated, and we await the findings.
All government, security, and law enforcement authorities must use every means at their disposal to investigate thoroughly, apprehend these lawbreakers, and bring them to justice with the fullest extent of the law.
On behalf of the entire nation, I wish Heidi good health and a speedy recovery.

I strongly condemn the severe acts of violence by Israeli rioters in the area of Taybeh.
A police investigation has been opened, and forensic investigators from the Judea and Samaria District are already at the scene collecting evidence.
The Foreign Ministry is in contact with the ambassadors of the countries concerned in order to assist the law enforcement authorities, who are working to identify the attackers and bring them to justice.
Without detracting from the severity of the incident, it is unfortunate that the visit was not coordinated with the IDF in advance. Such coordination could have helped safeguard the visitors’ security.

Με μια σεμνή τελετή στην αίθουσα «Πενταδάκτυλος» στη Βουλή των Αντιπροσώπων, εγκαθιδρύθηκε σήμερα Ομάδα έξι Κυπρίων Βουλευτών, από τρία διαφορετικά κόμματα, για συνεργασία με το Israel Allies Foundation – Europe.
To Israel Allies Foundation είναι ένας διεθνής, πολιτικός και διπλωματικός οργανισμός, ο οποίος έχει ως κύριο σκοπό την ενίσχυση των σχέσεων διαφόρων κρατών με το Ισραήλ. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό, το Israel Allies Foundation συνεργάζεται ήδη με ομάδες πρωτοβουλίας βουλευτών σε 67 κοινοβούλια παγκοσμίως, περιλαμβανομένων 25 κοινοβουλίων της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης, του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου και της Κοινοβουλευτικής Συνέλευσης του Συμβουλίου της Ευρώπης.

Today, we remember the unimaginable tragedy that unfolded three years ago, following the barbaric terrorist attacks carried out by Hamas against Israel on October 7, 2023.
Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the hundreds of innocent victims, and everyone traumatized by this heinous attack.
Cyprus is steadfast in condemning all acts of terrorism and rejects any form of antisemitism.
We join calls in urging for the disarmament of Hamas and the full implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan under UNSCR 2803, with the vision of paving the way to a two-state solution, with the aim of sustainable peace and security.
