On Oct. 7, leaders mourn the victims and affected communities. They don't turn around and point the blame at them. Mayor Mamdani gave the victims a single line, then moved on to politics. That’s absolutely unacceptable. Jewish New Yorkers deserved better from their Mayor. nytimes.com/2026/10/09/opini…

We owe it to Holocaust survivors and the families of victims to ensure the full truth is uncovered. Following the discovery of hundreds of previously undisclosed accounts with potential ties to the Nazi regime, I’m urging the Treasury Department to reopen its investigation into Credit Suisse. We must ensure transparency, accountability, and that this history is never forgotten.

Praying for his family.
Elazar Yair Wilensky, a 9th-grade student, was killed when an unexploded Hezbollah cluster munition detonated in northern Israel during a school hike. The youngest of five siblings, Elazar was known for being full of life, joyful, and deeply intelligent. A beloved son and friend with his whole life ahead of him. May his memory be a blessing. 🕯️

Never forget
Emotional moments: On this day, October 13, 2025, the last living hostages kidnapped by Hamas into Gaza on October 7, 2023, finally returned home to the arms of their loved ones. We will never forget what they endured. We will never forget those murdered on October 7 and those who never made it home from captivity in Gaza alive. And we will never forget the horrors of October 7, 2023.

Any regime that executes its youth and its future like this - without a fair trial and any modicum of human rights - is bound to fall. Regardless of how long it takes the people of #Iran will see the end of this regime that continues to execute its own children.  #StopExecutionsInIran

An honor to meet Yaniv Hayun! Yaniv is the Israeli plumber who saved the flydubai flight by neutralizing the terrorist and levelling the plane. He saved many lives! An absolute hero! 🇮🇱 #FaithBasedDiplomacy #IsraelAllies @ReinsteinJosh

Three years ago, October 7, 2023, at 6:29 AM local time, thousands of Hamas terrorists launched a barbaric attack on communities across southern Israel. Today, we remember every innocent life lost, the families shattered, the devastation Hamas unleashed. We pray for the recovery of the hostages we fought tirelessly to bring home, and cry for those we failed to save. We must never forget the brutality of October 7 or the evil of those who carried it out. We will not lose hope or stop working for a path towards peace for both Israeli and Palestinian children and their families.

THREE YEARS. Three years since the moment my life changed forever. Even now, it feels so unreal that sometimes I still can’t fully comprehend that I was kidnapped and taken to Gaza. Sometimes it feels like it was all just a nightmare I somehow woke up from. But at the same time, the pain is always here. It never really leaves, and sometimes, it only gets stronger. This year, when I went to visit the graves of my friends, I felt like it had somehow become even harder. Maybe because the hostages are finally home. Maybe because I’m no longer part of that fight. Or maybe because everyone else has already graduated, moved to Tel Aviv, and started their careers. And you remain there, like a memory from another life. A life that was innocent, young, and happy. A group of friends simply enjoying life, dreaming big, with no idea how quickly everything could change. I miss you every single day. With every step I take, on every path I choose, I find myself wondering what it would be like if you were still here beside me. As more time passes, I realize that soon, more time will have passed since we lost you than the amount of time I actually had the chance to know you. And that is something I still can’t accept. To me, you are always with me. And for those of us who have lost someone we love, it isn’t easy to watch the world keep moving when some people’s lives simply stopped. It isn’t easy to live with the guilt of being the ones who are still here. But we have to keep going, because that is what they would have wanted for us. We have to learn to live alongside the pain. Embrace it. Forgive it. Understand it. But at the same time, keep looking forward. Give yourself permission to LIVE.

Mr. Mayor, you're right that today is painful for Jews. You're also the one making it worse. Blame the victims. Trash Israel. Wife likes posts cheering the attack. Thanks for the clarity
This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss. The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians—including more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them – all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes. Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment. To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.

Desecrating the memory of murdered, innocent Jews today of all days and refusing to even condemn Hamas is obscene. There are 364 other days you can wrongly criticize Israel for defending herself. If you had respect for the dead, you'd just acknowledge the tragedy, but you don’t.

The Israel Allies Foundation, in conjunction with @passagesisrael facilitated a meeting between young Israeli October 7th survivors and their same aged peers working on Capitol Hill. The horrors of 10/7 can never be forgotten or repeated.

Let's be clear: choosing the third anniversary of October 7 to glorify the barbaric murder of 1,200 people, including Americans, as 'resistance' is deeply offensive and morally bankrupt. In America, we don't glorify terrorists as 'martyrs.' We condemn them. When you glorify political violence, you only invite more of it.

We will speak the truth about October 7th. We will stand up to hate and terror, wherever it rears its ugly head. That’s why I introduced a bipartisan resolution with @RepLoisFrankel, @RepYoungKim, and @RepJoeWilson, marking 3 years since the barbaric attack on October 7, 2023.

Three years ago today, Hamas terrorists carried out the deadliest attack against the Jewish people since the Holocaust, murdering more than 1,200 innocent people and taking some 250 hostages. We remember the victims of October 7th, stand with their families, and remain committed to ensuring such an atrocity can never happen again. My full statement ⤵️ sherman.house.gov/media-cent…

What happened last night at Northwestern was unacceptable. It is disgraceful that the community cannot gather to honor October 7 survivors without fear and interruption. There must be an investigation into the incident and the perpetrators must be held accountable. Imagine being so committed to a political narrative that you would rather silence survivors of October 7 than let them share the truth. And the fact that so many are openly celebrating October 7 on campuses and places across the country makes it even more grotesque. This is exactly what Ahmed Fouad Alkhatib points to: a “pro-Palestine” movement so consumed by its own narrative that many of its loudest voices still cannot bring themselves to unequivocally condemn Hamas or acknowledge the horror of October 7. You don't get to celebrate a terrorist group and then pretend you are standing for humanity. You don't get to chant about justice while trying to prevent survivors from being heard. October 7 was not "liberation." It was not "resistance." It was a day in which Hamas murdered, kidnapped, and brutalized innocent civilians. Full stop.
