I just called Washington Post photographer Heidi Levine, who was brutally attacked by violent rioters on Friday.
As President of the State of Israel, I strongly condemn this outrageous and shocking violence, both the terrible attack on Heidi and other grave incidents of violence, such as what took place today in Taybeh.
I expressed my deepest sorrow to Heidi and apologized for what she went through.
The despicable behavior of the perpetrators of this attack does not represent the citizens or the values of the State of Israel.
Israel is a democratic state governed by the rule of law, and it must act with full force against every form of violence. Each incident is being thoroughly investigated, and we await the findings.
All government, security, and law enforcement authorities must use every means at their disposal to investigate thoroughly, apprehend these lawbreakers, and bring them to justice with the fullest extent of the law.
On behalf of the entire nation, I wish Heidi good health and a speedy recovery.

The Palestinian Authority hasn't held presidential elections since 2005 or legislative elections since 2006
Mahmoud Abbas is fooling the international community by canceling once again promised elections. His reform pledges to end “pay-for-slay” terrorist salaries and hate education remain empty too.
They keep deceiving.
Consequences?
Not for the corrupt PA!

Three years since Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 people in Israel and took 251 hostages.
In today's @BostonHerald, I write about what those years have meant for us. Through the grief and the long road ahead, one truth remains certain: we are here, determined and steadfast in our purpose, building our tomorrows

In just 7 days: 32 stone-throwing attacks, 3 arson attacks, a Molotov cocktail attack, 5 attacks on Jewish shepherds and more.

This man is a hero.
Captain Smit Machchhar, the Indian captain of flydubai Flight 1073, fought back after being stabbed in the cockpit.
Despite being severely injured, he managed to unlock the cockpit door - allowing Israeli passengers and the Emirati crew to intervene and save all the passengers.
Together, their extraordinary courage saved 174 lives.

I spoke just an hour ago with my friend, the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, @ABZayed.
During our warm conversation, we expressed our mutual determination to strengthen the relations between our countries at all levels and to work together against extremist elements seeking to harm security and undermine stability in the region.
I updated my colleague on the return of the Israeli passengers. The Emirati Foreign Minister said he was happy to hear that all the Israeli passengers had returned home safely.

We thank our partners in the United Arab Emirates for fighting terror with us and with other nations in the region. We cannot allow terror to destabilize our region.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:
"This morning, there was a serious security incident on a flight from Dubai to Israel. Almost all the passengers on the flight were Israelis. During the flight, as they approached the country, one of the pilots stabbed the second pilot, and apparently tried to crash the plane with everyone on board.
I spoke with one of the Israeli passengers. He told me that the plane went into a spin and began to dive. He told me that, somehow or other, he managed to break into the cockpit with one of the crew members, and that together they neutralized the stabbing pilot while he was trying to sabotage the plane's systems. Another flight crew on board entered the cockpit and managed to stabilize the plane.
I salute these heroes, who displayed exceptional resourcefulness and courage. They saved many lives. They prevented a huge disaster.
The plane landed safely at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia. All passengers are out of danger. The stabbing pilot was arrested and is currently being interrogated by the Saudi authorities.
We are maintaining constant communication with the relevant authorities to ensure the ongoing well-being of the passengers and their safe return home.
I have instructed the security services to prepare for additional potential threats.
We are holding ongoing situation assessments, and we will update you as the situation develops."

A wave of Palestinian terror during the holiest time of the Jewish calendar.
Today, a Palestinian terrorist carried out a ramming attack in central Israel, severely wounding Neria Leiter.
We pray for Neria’s full recovery.
I am grateful to the IDF, to the medical team at Shaare Zedek who are now fighting to save the life of Neria Dov ben Chana, and for the prayers of the people of Israel.
I believe in the power of prayer, and I believe that when the people of Israel unite, miracles happen. Neria needs a miracle.
Neria continued to serve in the reserves after losing his older brother, Moshe Yedidya Leiter, of blessed memory. Since October 7th, he has served hundreds of days in the reserves on multiple fronts.

Open incitement that goes unaddressed in the public sphere, along with anti-Israel policies, is fueling antisemitism.
