A lot more people have been jettisoned from STM for saying that mesh does not shrink and that the UCLH surgeon only does a partial removal on an obturator mesh. I just don't understand that behaviour Why are they putting this surgeon on a pedestal and protecting them?

As regards losing engagement from surgeons, @MeshCampaign has single handedly done more damage to mesh injured women than #mesh will ever do by doing what they did to @DrVeronikis by questioning his intentions. I have never met a more honourable human.

I am fairly new to viewing it ( I only sought support for mesh issues around June this year). I had to say something but now I see that proper dialogue is not really being had Iโll stop. I agree with you that no one should be blocked (either position) - it never helps!

@LaughAnil you are missing the point I think. @WaelAgur has a list of declared conflicts as long as your arm but @meshcampaign have no issue with that. Why is @DrVeronikis being targeted for his declared conflicts? No support from @meshcampaign in this matter. As simple as that.

Transparency is key. We have gained hugely from @DrVeronikis presence on Twitter. Women are now better placed to make an informed decision about removal. We didn't previously have a surgeon willing to be so generous with time and knowledge, so we're deeply appreciative.

IMO, any high volume #mesh removal surgeon who is removing the same brands of mesh on a daily basis should not tell a patient that due to shrinkage, 6cm is a full removal. That's a blatant lie. No question about it.

Surgeons who remove mesh should be pretty clear by now if the material stretches or shrinks. Surely if you are carrying out a full removal the removal surgeons should know roughly how much mesh they have to remove. In my case 5cms does not constitute a full removal now does it?

Complete=Total=Entire=All. Partial removal of #mesh is none of these. Complete is all parts, not just removal from urethra. If a surgeon can remove it all, do it once and do it all, otherwise leave it alone @MaryRMcLaughlin @chrisharding123 @urohash @ElneilSuzy @JanUrban12
