USS Abraham Lincoln passes Iranian bulk carrier on her way to the Middle East
The US Navy’s nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and her associated carrier strike group overtook the Iranian-flagged bulk carrier Arvin off Singapore on January 18, according to #MarineTraffic data. The two vessels sailed in close proximity between 14:46 UTC and 19:24 UTC, with the carrier strike group passing the bulker during this period. The bulk carrier Arvin departed Shanghai on January 5 and is scheduled to arrive in Bandar Abbas on January 31, while the USS Abraham Lincoln and the strike group are heading toward the Middle East, according to media reports.
