به نظر می‌رسد جمهوری اسلامی در پادکست‌ها آزادی قابل‌توجهی به خودی‌ها و حتی غیرخودی‌های تحمل‌شده داده است. حاکمیت به‌شدت نیازمند یافتن راهی برای برون‌رفت از بحرانی است که بقایش را تهدید می‌کند. از یک سو باید راه‌حل‌هایی پیدا کند و از سوی دیگر، آن‌ها را برای حامیان سرسخت نظام قابل‌قبول کند. این کار بدون باز کردن کنترل‌شده فضای بحث و گفت‌وگو عملی نیست. از طرف دیگر، حضور فعالان و مخالفان در برنامه‌های رسانه‌های خارج از کشور را دشوارتر کرده و هم‌زمان اعدام‌ها و سرکوب‌ها را افزایش داده است. در واقع، پیام حاکمیت این است: «اگر قرار است تغییری رخ دهد، باید تحت کنترل من باشد.»

These IT outsourcing firms were abusing the H-1B visa program, but there wasn't enough political will to address the problem. This should also be a lesson for Democrats. Much of the backlash against immigration is fueled by abuses that Americans can see happening, but that Democrats have failed to address. As a result, people end up supporting extreme anti-immigration policies of Republicans. The H-1B program could have been reformed to restrict its use by companies whose primary business is IT consulting and outsourcing. These firms flooded the system with large numbers of applications, making it harder for smaller companies and startups to recruit foreign talent. The H-1B program was consistently oversubscribed, leaving many employers unable to hire the skilled workers they needed. I still believe we need the H-1B program. We just need to get it right. Instead of allowing jobs to move offshore, we should make it easier for highly qualified workers to come here and do those jobs in America. When those jobs stay in the United States, there are additional jobs and spending that stay in America and benefit everyone.

We have almost reached the point where computers are better at math than humanity, similar to what happened to chess 30 years ago. This does not mean the end of “playing math” for mathematicians. They will still be needed to develop human-understandable concepts for math education so people can approach math through them. In chess, people learn to control the center or avoid losing their knights in closed games, but computers do not need these concepts to play. With math, AI will do its own thing, while we still need to learn math concepts developed by mathematicians to play with math in our own way.

The Iranian government is paralyzed to some extent. No one in the regime has the power to propose a bold solution to get it out of its current predicament. Those managing the economy day to day know how dire the situation is and recognize the need to compromise with the US. Their challenge is that the regime’s hardcore supporters, who attend pro-regime rallies every night, do not want it to make any concessions. The regime cannot afford to lose their support because it fears another uprising and needs their support for the crackdown. These pro-regime supporters are controlled and instigated by hidden figures who are spread out in various regime institutions and have a strong network among themselves. It is unlikely figures like Qalibaf can win against this hidden network.

این مهمان سی‌ان‌ان بخوبی استراتژی جمهوری اسلامی رو توضیح میدهد. همانطور که قبلا هم گفتم این استراتژی راهی به جایی نبرده و مخصوصا بعد از انتخابات میاندوره‌ای آمریکا، شکست این استراتژی بیشتر و بیشتر معلوم خواهد شد. با توجه به اینکه حکومت جمهوری اسلامی اجماع کامل در امتیاز سنگین دادن به آمریکا را ندارد، همینطور بیشتر و بیشتر تضعیف خواهد شد.

ابزارهای همه‌کاره هوش مصنوعی که بعنوان دستیار وارد کار شده‌اند، بسیار قدرتمندند. محصولات مستقل برای دوام آوردن در این بازار باید در کار تخصصی خود کیفیت بالاتری ارائه دهند، یا رابط کاربری‌ای(UI) داشته باشند که انجام آن کار را برای کاربران مکرر آسان‌تر و سریع‌تر کند. مزیت رقابتی این محصولات نسبت به ابزارهای عمومی، باید در کیفیت خروجی یا سهولت استفاده باشد. چند روزی است که از Instinct استفاده می‌کنم و از عملکردش راضی‌ام. مثلاً با کمکش یک جریمهٔ پارکینگ را پرداخت کردم. کاربرد جالب دیگری هم برایش پیدا کرده‌ام: اگر می‌خواهید حرفی را به کسی بزنید که گفتن مستقیمش سخته، می‌توانید از ایجنت خودتان بخواهید اون رو به ایجنت طرف مقابل بگه:)
