#Gaza is going hungry. CRS has 5,000 food kits ready in Jordan and 10,000 under purchase. When increased aid can enter, we can deliver. What’s in our food kit? Enough to feed a family of 6 for two weeks—meeting 100% of their daily calorie needs. (1/3)

I’m disappointed that Congress has largely followed the Administration’s lead in rescinding nearly $8 billion in funding they both approved only months ago. Cutting funding for life-saving programs leaves Americans less secure and the world less stable and prosperous.

Urge the Senate to reject proposed cuts to international aid funding that has already been approved for 2025. These cuts aren’t just numbers on a spreadsheet. They represent vaccines for children, basic care for people displaced by war, clean water for families in crisis, and more. This isn’t just a budget debate — it’s a matter of life and death for mothers, fathers, children, and entire communities. And we need your voice today. 👉 Take action: projecthope.org/protectaidfu…

Arkansans understand that international assistance is a strategic self interest: “International aid programs aren't handouts. They're investments in American security, economic strength and global leadership.” Check out the new op-ed from @robertwcoon in @ArkansasOnline 👇arkansasonline.com/news/2025…

This morning, an airstrike killed 15 civilians, including 10 children and two women, and injured many more outside Project HOPE's health clinic in Deir al Balah, Gaza. The strike occurred as patients had gathered outside the clinic, awaiting its opening to receive treatment for malnutrition, infections, chronic illnesses, and more. “Project HOPE’s health clinics are a place of refuge in Gaza where people bring their small children, women access pregnancy and postpartum care, people receive treatment for malnutrition, and more. Yet, this morning, innocent families were mercilessly attacked as they stood in line waiting for the doors to open." - @rtorbay, Project HOPE’s President and CEO As a precautionary measure, operations at Altayara Clinic have been suspended until further notice. Fortunately, no Project HOPE staff were present at the clinic during the strike, and none were injured. The team has been reassigned to another health facility in Deir al Balah, where they are continuing to provide our services with increased security consideration. Project HOPE urgently calls for an immediate ceasefire, unimpeded humanitarian access, and a dramatic scale-up of aid to meet the urgent needs of Gaza’s civilian population. projecthope.org/news-stories…

The facts are simple and devastating: Aid cuts have already cost lives, and the number of deaths will continue to rise. Here’s the evidence.

There are lots of misconceptions regarding U.S. foreign aid and development. @NickKristof of @nytimes does a great job pushing back on these misconceptions & highlights the fantastic work of orgs like Alliance member @EdesiaNutrition. Well worth a read! nytimes.com/2025/06/25/opini…

We’re not retreating but regrouping, reforming & renewing. Prioritize lifesaving aid to 114M people in greatest need, simplified coordination & greater accountability, empowered country leadership & local actors, uphold humanitarian principles & IHL. ERC bit.ly/4jZSIs7

Humanitarians are being forced to make impossible choices. ➖ Treatments stopped ➖ Meals cut ➖ Centers closed This is the reality of funding cuts – and it’s only getting worse. Here’s how aid work has been impacted just this past week.⬇️

"I think that the administration definitely believes that charity begins at home, and I don't argue with that," @DMiliband tells @CBSNews. "My argument is: Charity shouldn't end at home."
On @CBSSunday, former UK Foreign Secretary and @RESCUEorg head @DMiliband says of international assistance: “It's a strategic investment, it’s a moral investment, and it’s an impactful investment.”
