The really fun secret to menu animations? Button animations are free. Attempts to animate so much of the rest of an operating system have to really be scaled down or else you’re going to be waiting too many extra seconds for that flyout to appear, but go ham on the button for it.

Okay, looking into this a little more and it should go without saying: the application does need to support the Microsoft-Edge link type since MS doesn't let you manually select an exe in the app selector anymore. Wonder if this can be changed in the registry or something?

Fun fact: Windows XP build 2481, the first build to have the final system sounds, has all of its sounds at a higher bitrate compared to every build after (1411/705 kbps vs 705/352). I've uploaded 2481's sounds at this link so you can hear for yourself:

Here's a draft of our @Inside_Windows instructions for installing Windows 10X (20279+) on a real hardware by building an FFU (from CABs).
This is still a DRAFT, and a few files are not yet available. We are working on adding them to the guide.
