I finally got a chance to review Microsoft's canceled Surface Neo! I had some hands-on time with it a number of months ago, and was able to document the experience. In short, it's an incredible and unique PC that I'm sad will never see the light of day: windowscentral.com/hardware/…

For a long time the "Show window contents while dragging" feature was thought to belong to the Windows 95 development cycle, eventually releasing as part of the Plus! pack. Tracing its origins however revealed a much more interesting story: Windows 3.1 beta 026 already has it! 🪟
