People coming out of jail taller, happens only in cinema where the director wants to show a leap in time. In real life no one comes out of jail taller after five days or 500 days.
Why do these people flaunt 150, 270, 370, 400 as if they are voters in an RWA election? Because that is where such minuscule numbers matter.
In case you have forgotten, in a democracy every vote carries equal weight. Researchers and alumni don't magically get disproportionately higher value for their vote.
#BREAKING
Over 400 Indian-origin students, researchers and alumni across 27 countries have issued a statement titled 'Spare India from Anarchy'
The signatories, including individuals affiliated with MIT, Oxford, Harvard, Stanford and Cambridge, have raised concerns over protests and what they describe as attempts to undermine India's constitutional institutions
The statement criticises the growing preference for street protests over parliamentary dialogue and calls for political differences to be resolved through constitutional and democratic processes
Watches the horrors of sharia State. Gets scared. Imagines the day when Islamists might take over India. Decides to put his thoughts out in open. Addresses 'Indians'.
Not the likes of Sharjeel or Umar of PFI who openly call for establishing a Sharia State or call the constitution fascist, but Indians.
He chose to include the 70% non Sharia demanding citizens of India to lecture them on dangers of mixing Mosque and State.
No wonder Indian Express has lost trust of its readers.
Every time I take the metro, I make sure to greet these amazing men with a good morning or namaste. Costs nothing but puts a smile on their face.
Thank you @CISFHQrs

If Durga Puja is a 'cultural festival', please move yours to a more amiable weather of December or January. Why celebrate a cultural festival in unpredictable rainy season? Why make people go out in 80% humidity and 35⁰?
Just to set the records straight…
For all non-Bengalis who confuse Durga Puja (of Bengal) with Navaratri (outside Bengal), there's a simple big difference in the way it's celebrated. While Navaratri could be religious (as people claim it to be), Durga Puja is a cultural festival. There's a remarkable difference between religion and culture.
Why is Durga Puja not religious, but cultural? Here's a Bongs take!
1. For most Bengalis, they have nothing to do with devotion, and everything to do with celebration. Religion (as it has become) is an organized way to deal with devotees, and the Bengalis are far far away from any sort of blind beliefs.
2. God/Goddess is an image that's alienated from family of our own lives and seen as an authority. To Bengalis, Durga is just a part of our family. She could be termed as the Goddess, but never seen with a God-like image. There's way more love than devotion. It's a very human connection. She's the daughter of the house who's come for Autumn break to her parents house with kids and friends
3. While people outside Bengal may fast as much as they like, Bengalis will continue to feast on Mutton Biriyanis and all sorts of delicious non-veg food (even at Puja premises where organizers often arrange for meals). Had there been any religious angle, things might not have been so simple.
4. Durga Puja as a festival is deeply connected to arts, crafts, music, theater, films ... everything! It's an all-round celebration. Only a very tiny percentage of people would bother to offer prayers. For the rest of us, Durga and the spirit of Durga puja is all in our heart. Even if we offer 'Anjali' (a prayer), our eyeballs hover all over the surrounding beauties in laal-paar-sada-sarees (a beautiful dress that ladies prefer to wear).
5. Durga puja is all-inclusive. Many Muslims in Bengal celebrate it too. Even there are religious Muslims who are the Presidents and Secretaries of Puja committees. No 'religious' festival could ever break these barriers!
6. There are hundreds of government and private awards given for 'Best Puja'. Not a single parameter in judgement relates to the devotion aspect of it. The Best Puja judgement takes into consideration the artistic finesse of the idol-making, the decorations around it, the lights, the sound, the safety measures, the theme, the concept, the social relevance of the theme, etc. It never considers how devotedly people offer prayers. So, devotion doesn't even come in our way of celebrating Durga Puja.
For those who have never witnessed Durga puja in Kolkata but have a lot to comment on it, please do make a visit. Your idea of a festival will change. Our country had no religion, but we thrived on our culture. It's time we pack religions into the sacks and throw them back to the western world (from where it has come) and fall back on our all-inclusive cultural ways of celebrating life once again.

Hello @sanjeevsanyal, here HSB asserts that you are not worth a response and says so with a whole article on YOU.
To dignify Sanjeev Sanyal with an answer is to accord him an importance him he will never deserve.

These protests are mostly the result of unchecked immigration from former colonies. But what is appalling is that there is no one to stand against these anarchists. No police, no common people.
What has happened to the French men? What next, a Vichy France??
How long before the 🪳 dump thier paw paw?
They are realising that the three of them are gaining more traction than their paw paw. They are realising they can get the foreign funds if they go crazy and stop following the Paw Paw rulebook.
So how long before the 🪳 say we don't have anything to do with Paw Paw or the commie Bora and form a separate political party?
I wonder, how Ashoka entered into the peak elitist category? Anyone with money can get in there. At best it can get into, 'my daddy is rich' category.
And LSR is prestige? How? They don't even offer a science course.

Mr Fact-checker please fact-check your own facts.
There is no such scheme as “Buy one Get one free” scheme by Election Commission.
As per your post, the voter had submitted only two applications and he got 4 EPIC cards.
This statement is false.
The voter had submitted 4 applications.
If you want to dispute our facts then you post the reference numbers of two applications that you claim he had submitted and we will post the reference number of the remaining two.
The problem of generation of multiple EPICs on submission of multiple forms of an individual is a long standing one. We do deduplication through ECINET periodically. We are on path to achieving the objective of catching multiple forms submitted by an individual at the submission stage only. We will achieve our objective very soon.
Please do not incite people by making patently false statements about ECI and thereby trying to create disaffection among the citizens towards a Constitutional Body.
You are advised to rectify your mistake by amending or deleting your post after completing your own due diligence now that you have been informed by us about your wrong information.
Gems of UP SIR!
Several voters whose names were missing from the draft electoral roll (jan 6th) submitted Form 6 for inclusion. In some cases, two applications were submitted for the same person and the Election Commission went ahead and issued four voter IDs.
In plain words: One person applied twice. The EC gave them four voter IDs. 😎
Buy one get one free! 🫰🏼
There are several such cases. @ceoup @yadavakhilesh @RahulGandhi
They can also make Ravan abduct Ram ji while Sita ji kills Ravan to rescue Ram ji.
We're seeing Sita Maa fight here, helping Shri Ram fight 14,000 demon army of Khar & Dushan, while according to scriptures Shri Ram fought all of them alone sending Lakshman & Sita Maa away.
Are you excited to see it, or think they should've followed the real story. #Ramayana
