It’s hard to say if there would ever be a time when things quiet down, but the hope is there. “I mean, yeah, if you guys want to, I’ll have to check my schedule, yanno... but should be fine...” He tries to shrug nonchalantly.

“Yeah, yeah,” he mutters. “I know you’re doing important stuff. And Spidey’s got stuff. And everybody can’t wait to team up with Ms. Marvel. It’s just— It’s not like I’m lonely. I’m not lonely. Shut up.”

He huffs and doesn’t give much of a reply beyond, “Glad to hear you guys are having such a blast.”

"How are the teammates? Who are they again?" There's a hidden "but we're cooler than them, right" in between his lines.

“But what about the /brand/?” He props his feet on the table and asks, “How’s your other team?”

“I’m really not feeling ‘Champions Assemble’ or... what else was suggested, ‘Champions Cooperate’?” Shudders.

“I forgot our rally again. I know Cyclops got to say ‘To me, my champions.’ That’s not copywrited, right? Copywrote? Copywritten?”

“The Champions group chat is just Ms. Marvel trying to send inspirational quotes while the rest of us share the best memes about Mr. Stark we’ve found.”

"Good thing I didn't make a New Years Resolution. Because I would have forgotten it by now. Unless...."

“Rocket always said this guy wasn’t the brightest. I just thought Rocket was being Rocket.”

“Yeah? What’s yours?”

"So are we still supposed to do New Years resolutions?"

“Merry Christmas! Champions party starting now!”

“Why do criminals insist on committing crimes on Christmas Eve? Don’t they know that’s insta-naughty list?”
