What if we had “web places” instead of “web pages”?
Hyperplace explores this concept by introducing ambience controls, where you can manipulate the ambiance color and vibrancy, as well as toggle lights on and off. When the lights are switched off, the ambience colors darken, creating the illusion of being in a physical space with dimmed lighting.
Next step for this would be to synchronize the available light with the time of day. It seems logical that our perception of color is constantly influenced by the available light in our surroundings.
