Day 3 of #AFROSAIE’s Technical Conference: Prof. Nara Monkam’s keynote on turning governance intelligence into better policy, a panel on moving from audit findings to impact through communicating results, and a closing call to connect #insight, #foresight and #oversight.

Day 2 of the #AFROSAI-E Technical Conference was about #foresight. Participants agreed that foresight is not prediction, but a tool to prepare public governance for future risks. SAIs can use audit reports as a strategic database, connect risks across systems and plan for impact.

Discussions and speeches from the #AFROSAIE Technical Conference emphasized that the value of going beyond individual audits to understand systemic issues, and how to take action to improve governance and service delivery for citizens.

Day 1 of the #AFROSAIE Technical Conference, themed "Strategic Intelligence for Stronger Governance", highlighted insights and understanding the interconnectivity of the #governance, #accountability and public finance environment (#PFM).

.@The_Cooperation Steering Committee brought together INTOSAI & development partners to chart SAI capacity support beyond 2026. Key themes: peer-to-peer support, public debt sustainability, AI in audit, SIDS, anti-corruption, and #SAIindependence.

Regional leadership engaged in a practical knowledge sharing session around the challenges faced. The day concluded with participants coming to a consensus on follow up actions and responsibilities, to initiate action from two days of productive regional collaboration. #INTOSAI

The final day of the #INTOSAI Regional Coordination Platform gathered representatives from the regions to further explore discussions working w/ #PAOs, demonstrating value by measuring & communicating audit impact, & feedback on the INTOSAI Development Initiative's PESA program.

Discussions from Day 1 of the #INTOSAI #IRCP focused on strengthening coordination, visibility, & results reporting; quality management; the next INTOSAI strategic plan, and; SAI independence. INTOSAI regions share their experiences to enhance coherence & promote good practices.

The INTOSAI Regional Coordination Platform is convening in Washington D.C. this week to strengthen coordination and collaboration between INTOSAI’s regional and global structures, with a focus on capacity development.
