Last month, IMPD North District officers responded to a volatile family dispute. Officer Clyde Ashby showed calm, professionalism, and restraint—disarming a knife-wielding juvenile without deadly force. For his actions, he’s our October 2025 Officer of the Month. 👏

Today, we pause to honor the men and women who have worn our nation’s uniform, or who are still wearing it, including so many within our IMPD family.
Together, the veterans in this photo represent 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟭𝟳𝟳 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 to our country. Their commitment to protecting others didn’t end when their military careers did, it continues every day in service to our city.

A driver blew past a “Right Turn Only” earlier today sign at N. Meridian & 43rd — and drove straight through the bollards...with a marked police car right there.
His excuse? He's always gone that way.
What happened? He got a ticket.
