#Georgia's 🇬🇪 police strip searched an active protest participant in an effort to intimidate her. Other women share similar stories of humiliation and intimidation efforts. This is not acceptable! Authorities should end the police impunity now.
This is what repression looks like.
During the last illegal police search of my home, two policewomen forced me to strip in front of them. This wasn’t a routine search. This was an act of humiliation and psychological abuse—a clear message from the authorities: stay silent, or we will break you.
But I refuse to be broken. I refuse to be silenced.
This is the reality activists in Georgia face for daring to stand up for democracy, for justice, for a future free from oppression. They raid our homes. They fabricate cases. They use fear tactics, thinking we will back down.
Let me be clear: I will not back down. The Georgian people will not back down. We know our strength. We know what we are fighting for. And no amount of state-sponsored abuse will stop us.
