A lot of people are in for a rude awakening over the next few years.
Many people mistakenly still believe that AI is still just a novelty chat toy or a new type of Google search. Those of us on the frontlines are seeing what is possible and where things are going. You need to adapt. I beg you: please do not allow your ego to get in the way. Do not make your vocation your central identity. Things are going to change radically and quickly.
God gave you talents. You have a responsibility to cultivate them. AI doesn't replace your calling, your discernment, or your willingness to work. When used well AI can help you apply your gifts at a scale that was previously out of reach, but only if you don't let your ego get in the way and remain stuck in the past.
A small business can accomplish more without a massive budget. A parent can spend less time on busywork and more time with the children. Someone with an idea can build what they once could only imagine.
You don’t need to worship the technology, but you also don’t need to fear it either. You need to understand it and put it to work in service of things that matter.
Be humble enough to learn.
Be disciplined enough to practice.
The promise and vision that we have for AI is to get more of your life back and do something worthy with it.
Lean into that.

On this day in 1776, 21 year old Nathan Hale laid down his life for the cause of Independence proclaiming "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country."
250 years later it's worth reflecting, what type of country did he believe he was giving his life for?

Most supposed predicaments are really just problems that can be solved by being harsh to the guilty
For example, the rhinos are going extinct, and have been since decolonization removed good governance from Africa
Is the extinction of megafauna inexorable? No. Death squads targeting poachers solve it, and protect God's grandest creatures
That same sort of "fix everything easily switch" solution applies to everything, from pitbulls to property crime, as our ancestors knew
It just requires summoning the proper amount of will

A musket ball caught Daniel Morgan in the back of the neck. It tore up through his mouth, knocked out the teeth on his left side, and came out through his cheek.
He was fighting in the French and Indian War, years before the Revolution. Morgan was carrying dispatches across the Virginia frontier with two other men when they rode into an ambush. Both of the others were killed on the spot. Morgan took the ball to the neck but managed to stay in the saddle.
He leaned forward, wrapped his arms around the horse's neck and let it run. One of the attackers chased him on foot, expecting the wounded man to drop at any second. But he never did. Morgan rode all the way to the safety of the fort.
He lost those teeth, but he survived. And a couple of decades later, that same man would command the force that shattered a British army at Cowpens.

Just heard a story from one of my best friends growing up - that his family sold some land to John Chapman and there is a historical plaque in Ohio commemorating it.
Everyone should learn more about their family heritage.
Johnny Appleseed was not planting apples for eating.
He was planting for hard cider.
John Chapman gathered his seeds from the leftover pulp at frontier cider mills. That's not how you get Honeycrisp. The fruit came out small, sour and hard. Settlers called them spitters. One bite and you spit it out.
On the frontier, hard cider was the everyday drink. It stored through the winter and it was safer than the water. Families drank it regularly, even the children.
And apple trees didn't only make cider. They were also a land claim. The Ohio Company required settlers to plant 50 apple trees and 20 peach trees within three years to prove they were staying long term.
Johnny Appleseed walked ahead of the wagons, planted and fenced his nurseries, and sold the trees to the next wave of Americans rolling in.
Not for pies. For barrels.
There is immense utility in the "perpetually wrong" class of people. They act as a high-speed filter for reality. Whenever they signal ABC, you know with absolute certainty to go XYZ. Stop debating them; just track them. They are your most efficient roadmap forward.

The American patriotism following 9/11 had a visceral feeling. Flags everywhere, strangers embracing, entire stadiums singing with tears in their eyes. A shared grief and a shared resolve. You could feel how much this country meant to people and how fiercely they loved it. With drastic measures, I believe we can retvrn.

Megawatt was proud to join Indiana State Representative @PierceForIN, future NFL Hall of Famer @RobertMathis98, @standwithcrypto Indiana representative @rtechlawyer, and other leaders at Rep. Pierce's recent fundraiser.
Rep. Pierce authored HB 1042, Indiana's Bitcoin Bill of Rights, and Megawatt provided industry expertise and perspective as the bill moved through the legislature.
HB 1042 took effect July 1. It protects Bitcoin mining in Indiana and bars state and local governments from singling out digital asset transactions for discriminatory taxes or fees.
Megawatt runs mining infrastructure, but growing the industry responsibly also takes engagement with policymakers, education, and clear rules that give miners, entrepreneurs, investors, and everyday bitcoiners confidence to build in Indiana.
We'll keep doing that work with Indiana lawmakers and organizations like @standwithcrypto as the state develops its approach to Bitcoin and digital asset policy.
Indiana is setting the standard for other states on Bitcoin legislation.
