ALT SAXS and mechanical properties of CO2-derived triblock copolymer elastomers. A) Room-temperature small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) profiles showing principle scattering peaks (q*) and higher-order peaks (q/q*). B) Representative stress–strain curves (10 mm min−1 extension rate). C) Improvement in tensile strength and Young's modulus relative to unfunctionalized 1-vinyl. D) Creep-recovery experiments at 30 °C, 5 kPa.

The kinetics of dispersion polymerisation is determined by SAXS. The local [monomer] within growing nanoparticles increases up to a maximum value, which correlates with the maximum rate of polymerisation.

Come join us, and push I22's structural studies out into the micron regime.
We're looking for a scientist, to work on an instrumentation project, to enhance the capabilities of my already awesome beamline. Retweets appreciated.
DMs open for informal enquiries.

Stress testing our data acquisition chain after upgrades.
10.02M frames each from 5 detectors being collected at 100Hz should keep the beamline busy this weekend*.
*Our storage sys admins should be happy that this junk data is being collected into a non-archived /tmp/ directory
