Despite hosting the fossil fuel industry at a careers event this year, @peopleandplanet awarded @WrexhamUni joint 1st in its #EthicalCareers University League. @ManMetUni ranked joint 26th and @LJMU joint 51st. All three should be relegated.
So much for #FossilFreeCareers 🙄
Why is @ManMetUni top of the league? It hosted @HyNetNW at a careers event this year. HyNet will produce dirty #BlueHydrogen, dump millions of tonnes of carbon dioxide under #LiverpoolBay and is backed by @EETFuels, @CadentGasLtd and @eni.

Next spring, the government is set to finalise the #HydrogenTransportBusinessModel which will enable H₂ pipeline schemes to progress. In the meantime, @HyNetNW backer @CadentGasLtd has decided to pause its Development Consent Order planning application.

Fossil fuel giant @bp_plc has pulled the plug on its #H2Teesside #BlueHydrogen scheme citing a "material change in circumstances" after the site landowners sought permission to build a datacentre instead.

Heads up @EETFuels. Hydrogen makes sense in a few industrial applications and very little else. Refining crude isn't one of them. @HyNetNW is critically flawed because its key application is refining climate wrecking fossil fuels and prolonging their use.
