It's been a while since, we started the Sea Ice Rheology Experiment (SIREx) on the FAMOS meeting in 2016: large #seaice model intercomparison project focussing on deformation and fracture. Finally, two papers coming out of this are under review and preprints on @ESSOAr_org 🥳1/5

In SIREx Part II: (Evaluating simulated linear kinematic features in high-resolution sea-ice simulations - essoar.org/doi/abs/10.1002/e…) we detect deformation features, i.e. leads and pressure ridges, and compare spacial and temporal statistics (density, persistence,...) 4/5
