So this is how AI SEO works? Agencies emailing publications that have articles that rank highly on AI searches, to add a link to their product with context, so that AI agents will be more likely to recommend them?

Google Cloud outage: Has the UK lost its digital sovereignty?

Netflix fired 1,000 people last week. Today's earnings show why.
Margin beat at 34.6%.
Growth slowed to 11.8% from 17%.
Ad revenue guidance cut from $3B to $2.7B.
Viewing per member is down from 66 hours a month to about 49, and the viewing report is moving off the earnings calendar!!!
When engagement stalls, you protect the margin and reset the people. That’s what they have been doing and I do expect more to come. That's what I'm watching when Peter Rice takes over. $NFLX

Democracy in action - reason why Trump so triggers the Libs is because he explains how the system really works
Trump: "If you elected a Republican House and Senate on November 3, you're gonna get $5,000. And if we lose, you get nothing. You're gonna get nothing! If we lose, you get nothing. Make it a lot easier vote."

Great new paper from @i_am_nickbloom
A few thousand firms in the US and UK represent half of all AI spending-- roughly top 2%. Trouble is n=845 & 1273; so one firm here or there could make a huge difference.
Bottom 50% of firms are <1% of AI spendin by eyeball.
Average US firm spends $2000 per employee (in 2025) -- obviously skewed by high spenders.
Marginal productivity benefits.
Worth comparing to the BCG survey (n=1273), which has more recent fieldwork and may be more self-selected.

AI Exposed ≠ AI is substitutive
Five more E’s are involved the interaction of which determines the outcome:
- embodied
- enmeshed
(are the tasks extractable?)
- embedded
(is the job embedded in a complex social system
- elastic (is the demand for the output elastic)
- empowered (does the occupation have political power)
Islands are problematic. Why UK / Argentina over Falklands is always going to be a thing
Türkiye is not a party to UNCLOS, and under Article 34 of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, a treaty does not create obligations or rights for a third state without its consent. UNCLOS provisions therefore cannot be invoked against Türkiye.
Greece’s claims based on the tiny island of Kastellorizo (Meis) are a textbook case of disproportionate maritime jurisdiction. The island is roughly 10 km², lies only about 2 km off the Turkish coast near Kaş, and is roughly 580 km from the Greek mainland. Yet Greece seeks to attribute to it a continental shelf/EEZ of approximately 40,000 km² thousands of times its actual size effectively cutting off Türkiye’s access to large parts of the Eastern Mediterranean. International jurisprudence and the principle of equity do not support giving such full effect to a small, remote island lying on the “wrong side” of the mainland median line and in a semi-enclosed sea.
In contrast, the Türkiye–Libya memorandum on the delimitation of maritime jurisdiction areas (signed in 2019, registered with the UN, and recently ratified by the Libyan parliament) rests on the equitable median-line principle between mainland coasts. It is a valid bilateral agreement under international law and carries greater legal weight than unilateral maximalist claims that ignore geography, proportionality, and Türkiye’s long coastline.
Real international law is not about using one small island to dominate an entire sea; it is about equitable solutions that respect the rights of all coastal states.

Google Cloud's London region went down this morning and took UK banking with it.
Revolut lost card payments, transfers, ATM withdrawals, and sign-ins. Lloyds, HSBC, Royal Mail, and Rightmove all reported problems. Cause: a power event in one London zone.
Revolut runs its global systems on Google Cloud. One zone lost power and millions of people could not touch their money.
Single-region is not an infra strategy. It is a bet.

GRANDE CONFUSIONE NEL MEDITERRANEO. IN GIOCO MOLTI INTERESSI 🇮🇹 ITALIANI. REAGISCONO ITALIA 🇮🇹, GRECIA 🇬🇷, FRANCIA 🇫🇷 E CIPRO 🇨🇾.
1. per rivendicare una maggior EEZ in un mare ricco di risorse;
REAGISCONO ITALIA 🇮🇹, FRANCIA 🇫🇷, CIPRO 🇨🇾 E GRECIA 🇬🇷
L'ESERCITAZIONE MILITARE EUNOMIA 2026.

Introducing tiny.london
A massive isometric pixel map of London, based on amazing NYC demo by @_coenen from 9 months ago
My agent created the dataset, finetuned qwen image LoRA adapter, did a multiday inference run and built an efficient tile viewer!
I wanted to share something I built over the last few weeks: isometric.nyc is a massive isometric pixel art map of NYC, built with nano banana and coding agents.
I didn't write a single line of code.
