You’ve got this the wrong way round. It is Natural England’s role to prevent special interests from trashing our natural heritage. The reason those special interests (supported by ample useful idiots) are spreading lies about an impending massacre of Dartmoor ponies is exactly so they can get Natural England out of the way.

What a rotten deal we made with Iran. We get nothing (except laughter at our stupidity). They get everything, including delay and big cash!
A group of us - Chris Packham, Guy Singh-Watson, Dale Vince and I - have written to the Soil Association asking it to stop certifying farmed salmon. 20 years ago I led the team developing organic fish farming standards. I now realise that was a bad mistake.

Such an utterly unwise piece of PR from Ofcom this, the choice of the Telegraph, a paper so violently opposed to the BBC, the muddled messaging between a regulator’s comms and the personal comms, the betraying of the independence of Ofcom at the altar of a ‘Fleet Street’ so utterly opposed to public service broadcasting….I suppose it could have been worse…. it could have been Paul Dacre. But not much worse.

This is a slip road onto the M2 motorway in Kent. But it could be anywhere in the country. The motorway network is a total cesspit and @NationalHways - with its £5 BILLION annual budget - doesn’t care what you think. It’s a national scandal that needs exposing.
