ICC: very happy for the Afghanistan men's team to do all their training in another country, but when the women's team ask to do the same BECAUSE THEY LITERALLY AREN'T ALLOWED TO TRAIN / PLAY / EXIST AT HOME, ICC reps won't even meet them to discuss it.
🆕 Jonathan Trott has a unique job: for nearly two years, he has been head coach of a country he has never set foot in
🇦🇫 His Afghanistan side are genuine contenders at the T20 World Cup. Enjoyed chatting with him in Trinidad to learn more about them

@milkandmore what on earth is wrong with your supply chains? I’ve had cancellations every week since December for “unforeseen circumstances”. It makes it impossible to plan when you don’t know whether your dog food or coffee will arrive. Please up your game or I will be leaving!

Replying to @southwesttrain1
@southwesttrain1 this is the second week in a row of trains without enough carriages leaving people packed in the corridors like sardines, some even sitting on the floor. How do you justify charging nearly £35 return for a 35 minute journey and not even providing enough seats?
Well done @easyJet! Our flight delayed eight hours, and not an easy jet staff member in sight to face the music! Sent a measly 9 euro food voucher which can’t be used in the area we’re sat in. Diabolical!
It's so rewarding to hear about how @HomelessLink coaching has transformed people's working life. I've become a coaching evangelist!

Disappointed to miss out on playing on the hallowed turf because of the blooming English summer weather, but looking forward to the next opportunity in a year’s time. Fingers crossed I get picked again! 🤞
Sadly rain has forced today's MCC Women's Day at @HomeOfCricket to be abandoned.
A real shame but we look forward to recreating the day next year with hopefully brighter weather 🙏

One week left to apply for @HomelessLink's Emerging Leaders programme starting in October. Great opportunity for new leaders in the homelessness sector to learn skills and knowledge, gain a group of peers and build confidence. But don't just take our word for it...
Really interesting guest blog for @HomelessLink from @JeremySwain on how coaching transformed his leadership. Well worth a read:

This week is Loneliness Awareness Week. It's said a lot, but it's true: it can be lonely in leadership. Having a trusted sounding board, someone who will listen and allow us space to think aloud, is essential. All leaders should have an external coach. lnkd.in/e7ebqNkd
I've recently started cricket training again, with my local village team. At my first session, the coach tweaked my batting stance, giving me more power as I play my shots. At the second session, he encouraged me to keep my front arm higher when bowling.
And this is why I'm such a strong advocate of coaching in all areas of our lives, especially at work. Having an independent eye and ear who can see things we can't see in ourselves, and who can offer tips, tricks and tweaks to help us overcome them, is so so valuable.
If you haven't considered it for yourself or your teams, I highly recommend it. Drop me a message to find out more about how to access coaching through Homeless Link. homeless.org.uk/what-we-do/d…
