Understanding that it is very early for 2026 talk and everyone is excited:
Cooper Flagg is less than a month older than Dybantsa and Peterson, and is currently averaging 15/7/3 for a top 10 defense while playing out of position.
So, some NBA executives are incorrect.
Some NBA executives say Cooper Flagg could go as low as the sixth pick if he were to enter the 2026 draft 😳
“It’s early in the college basketball season. But already the draft class is feeling even stronger at the top than anticipated. By June, it might be even better given the development that can occur. To put it into perspective, some executives around the NBA say that if Flagg had never reclassified and were instead part of this 2026 group, he probably would be the third pick at best but could go as low as fifth or sixth. That is how special this group could be, so the chance to acquire one of them is why we’re already seeing teams bottom out so hard.”

I don’t care what happened with the Browns, I love this hire for the Rockies. The team needs to Moneyball the Coors effect in a way they’ve never tried. It’s their only chance of sustained success in Denver. DePodesta is the perfect guy to do it.
