Excited to move to the Bitcoin capital (Austin, TX) soon, but unfortunately, I won't be able to host HNL BitDevs anymore after tomorrow night.
After about 3.5 years of hosting monthly meetups, it's hard to step away, but I'm proud of the community we've built in Hawai'i!

Unfortunately, this will be the last BitDevs seminar, but our group will continue to host other events, workshops, etc. on a semi-regular cadence.

Onyx beta v0.1.0 adds basic a Bitcoin/Lightning wallet supporting send, receive, backup & restore wallet via the new @Breez_Tech Lightning/Liquid SDK.
⚠️ Please DO NOT load this with any amount of real bitcoin! Max ~$1 for testing, only what you wouldn't mind losing.
⚠️ Please DO NOT load any bitcoin at all before backing up your 12-word seed phrase (click key icon top-right of wallet)
⚠️ The Onyx wallet is NOT intended to store any of your existing bitcoin -- it is primarily a way to GET PAID for building/selling agents or data, then withdrawing bitcoin to a real wallet. This is not for storing any of your current bitcoin!
⚠️ This is guaranteed to have bugs. Please report them here or on our github repo.
⚠️ There are no safety warnings in the app. Assume nothing works the way you think it should!
⚠️ We haven't yet implemented offline receives, automatic balance updating, and other things you'd expect from a full Lightning wallet. Do NOT expect this to work fully like other wallets!
⚠️ Minimum send/receive for now is 1000 sats; and the fee for the Lightning/Liquid swap is ~43 sats, so if you load with 1000 sats you'll see ~957 received
⚠️ Basically most people just shouldn't use this yet! Proceed only if #reckless
⚠️ Note the balance uses the new BIP21Q (github.com/BitcoinAndLightni…) along with the new sat symbol satsymbol.org/ -- so ₿15380 is a few dollars worth not millions 😂
Lots more work to do on this which we'll do over the rest of the 0.1.x releases.
