Democrats are running on affordability.
Republicans are openly saying they don’t even go to the grocery store.
That’s the choice in this election.
Democratic strategist @GuyCecil said it right, Republican strategist Jason Theilman will be apologising for this later. This clearly reminds us that the Rs simply have no good argument to present to the voters. Jason Theilman played the racist card during an insiders political discussion about how the senate races were going. Guy handled it like a real pro. Dana Bash was gobsmacked.

He couldn't meet the bus 5 minutes away? This is great reporting on real-life political malpractice and hubris. Thanks @brennanleach
At the 1st stop on the KS GOP bus tour, Roger Marshall got out of a separate car, boarded the bus, then walked off the bus waving to supporters
After he spoke, an event organizer tells me he left thru the back door of the venue in a separate car again
Marshall called Hamilton “the most radical liberal Democrat to ever make it thru a primary in the state of Kansas.”
Looks like @RockyForKy is off to a fantastic start. This couldn't be a better example of the kind of preparation and hard work Kentucky needs in our next governor.
A campaign finance story from Tom Loftus and me kentuckylantern.com/2026/10/…
A nice reminder this time of year that we who are/have been candidates shouldn't take ourselves too seriously. And, it an even better reminder of the great creative thats out there...in this case from declarationmediagroup.com
If you’ve never made an ad with a t-shirt cannon. Highly recommend. @ZachDemboKY is gonna flip the 6th.
this is a pickup seat in Kentucky...yes, red Kentucky. Please send a buck or two (or more) to Zach. Because the polls close at 6 PM Eastern time this will be a great way to start a taking back the U S House.
Our first ad of the general election season went on the air today. I’m a public servant, not a politician, and I’m grateful to have an ad out highlighting my experience serving the United States in the Navy and the Department of Justice.
As your Congressman I’ll continue serving Kentuckians by fighting corruption in both parties, banning politicians from insider stock trading, and lowering healthcare costs for Kentuckians.
Be sure to give this one a watch, and share with anyone interested.

This was kinda a flashback. Change the work trail to trial and we're back a few years...and likely forward a few too!
‘We've told them he cannot come’: Republicans grapple with how to handle Trump on the trail dlvr.it/TVKHc6
I had a fun interview with New York Magazine!
On June 14, Senator Mitch McConnell fell at his Washington home, briefly lost consciousness, and developed pneumonia, according to his office. He spent a month in the hospital and most of another in rehabilitation; in August, his office announced that he had returned to his Washington, D.C. home to continue recovering. In the meantime, the public has gotten a few written statements, secondhand assurances from Republican colleagues and friends, and two photographs.
People who have known him for decades say they have little more idea what condition he is in than anyone else does. “He could be barely able to communicate, or he could be just as articulate as ever. We got no way of knowing,” Mike Ward, a former Democratic representative, told Nate Weisberg. Keith Runyon has known McConnell just as long as Ward and from considerably closer range: he spent 25 years running the ‘Louisville Courier-Journal’s editorial page, McConnell attended his wedding, and Runyon’s wife served as McConnell’s first press secretary. “I’ve lost the ability to believe entirely in what his office says,” Runyon said.
For many, McConnell is the latest exhibit in a familiar pattern: an elderly legislator — in this case, after 41 years in office — becomes hopelessly debilitated, and his staff conceals how much power has quietly passed into their hands. In MAGA world, the suspicion is that McConnell — who is curiously a figure of scorn for many on the right, despite all he has done to advance their interests — remains powerful. “It’s not the physical Mitch McConnell,” Steve Bannon told Weisberg. “It’s the specter of Mitch McConnell. The specter of Mitch McConnell controls the Senate. It’s run by McConnell’s rules with McConnell’s people.”

I was there...it was a huge and fired up crowd. Please join us Wednesday, July 22 in Louisville at 4 PM at Lynn Family Stadium to hear about what Rocky plans to do for Ky.
What an amazing event this afternoon! Thank you to everyone who came out to kick-off this campaign.
I’m fired up and ready to go, and I need you in this fight with me.
Are you with me?!

On the eve the start of early voting, a message to the people of HD 30.
Restoring integrity and trust to the people of House District 30 means electing a new representative on May 19th.
Starting tomorrow, that is squarely in your hands.

Why is it okay for Jon Husted to come back to Ohio to raise money for his failing campaign…but not to testify as a material witness in the criminal case for the largest bribery scandal in Ohio history?
SCOOP: U.S. Sen. Jon Husted can't leave D.C. to testify in the largest public corruption trial in Ohio history due to the "Iran war," the defense attorneys said, but did find time to return to the state to attend a fundraiser.

Trying to get any kind of answer out of the allegedly "non-partisan" SBA Office of Advocacy is like pulling teeth.
The "incorrect premise" he's talking about is a quote from his own book.

Five years ago today, the president incited an attempted insurrection of the United States government.
He failed to quell it, then he pardoned the perpetrators.
Never forget.

America must not start another reckless, unjustified war fought for the interests of oil companies.
While Maduro is a cruel and illegitimate dictator, Trump is not a president who prioritizes democracy or civil rights at home or abroad.
If this is actually about drugs, we cannot ignore the hypocrisy of a president who pardons a drug trafficker like former Honduran president Juan Orlando Hernandez one day, and then bombs another country the next under the same premise. Trump is using our troops for personal gain, for oil companies, and in the interest of billionaire executives, not the interest of the American people.
Only Congress has the ability to declare war. Republican leadership needs to wake up and join us in reigning in this President.
