That was the key takeaway from our meeting yesterday with @crisis_uk @IPPR @greatermcr & Homelessness Minister @FloEshalomi.
Thanks to all attendees!

We fought together, and we won.
The Vagrancy Act has finally been scrapped. For 200 years, this archaic law made it a crime to sleep rough or beg in England and Wales.
Together, we proved that when we speak out and work together, change is possible.
With the repeal of the Vagrancy Act today, we finally turned the page on 200 years of punishing people for poverty. We would like to thank the people from all walks of life who worked together to make this happen.
