Future Start is officially open! I was delighted to join Andrew Western MP, Minister for Employment, at Uxbridge College to open Hillingdon’s new Youth Employment Hub. After months of pushing for the Hub, I’m proud to see the Hub finally open and helping young people into work.

I was proud to welcome staff from Hillingdon Hospital to Parliament to thank them for everything they have done to transform urgent and emergency care services. The Trust is now consistently one of the highest-performing in the country! 💙

I spoke in the Health Bill adjournment debate about the potential of a single patient record to transform care. Too many patients still have to repeat the same story at every appointment - a joined-up record could make care simpler and more efficient.

More than 12,000 people complained to Ofcom over hateful comments made by GB News about LGBTQ+ people. I raised this in Parliament and asked what will be done to make sure those complaints are taken seriously and hate speech is challenged.

From this autumn, participating pharmacies will be able to assess and treat five additional common conditions. As a member of the Health and Social Care Committee, I have been pushing for people to get the care they need closer to home and this step makes a great difference.

If we want a lasting peace, we have to invest in the organisations working to bring communities together. I asked the Government for an update on the International Peace Fund and how it can support organisations working to build trust and cooperation between communities.

Local people should have a say over what opens on their high street. The Labour Government has announced plans to give communities and councils greater control over new vape shops, betting shops and adult gaming centres. What would you like to see on our high streets?

Get a new line. As you well know, I live and pay my council tax in Hillingdon - perhaps spend less time tweeting and more time sorting out your broken council finances & improving services. As Hillingdon residents we deserve better.

The way Hillingdon Council is treating small businesses like the ones on Sutton Court Road is unfair and unjust. I raised the Council’s appalling approach to small businesses in Parliament – and the irony of its leaders’ complete apathy towards the issue.
