A great project to have been involved in with @Berry97 and the team @Leven_links.
Our team were delighted to work with @Leven_links recently, to drill / install a new borehole capable of providing an increased supply of groundwater and thus help to future-proof course irrigation requirements.

💧 Scotland’s dry summer has put water resilience in the spotlight.
We offer large-diameter, deep drilling to maximise groundwater yields, working for a broad spectrum of clients including farms and golf clubs.
If water security is on your radar, we’re ready to help.

A number of projects ongoing for us just now, including at this soft fruit farm in Scotland.
Exploratory drilling was carried out confirming the existence of a groundwater source which could be used for irrigation purposes.

Pump testing a new water borehole we drilled earlier this summer. Yield in the region of 30m³ per hour.

Recently we have been putting our new high-pressure & flow compressor (nicknamed "Popeye") to good use.
On this project we drilled multiple large diameter water wells. There was a reasonable distance between each location, across uneven ground without easy vehicle access.
Our solution to this common issue was to mount the compressor onto a set of tracks, which can be operated remotely. Here "Popeye" can even be seen towing a trailer loaded with heavy drilling equipment which is essential for large diameter wells.
Pollok in great shape as always, especially with the new / repositioned bunkers @maccamcintee @pollokgreens
An example of control equipment with touch screen, for a @hydracrat water borehole / irrigator system on Scottish farm. A variable speed drive was set up to pump water at a flow rate of 50m³ per hour over 1600m distance, delivering a consistent 9 bar pressure to the fields.

☀️🌸 Summer vibes on this rotary drilling project to investigate the presence of historic shallow coal mine workings. (Falkirk, Scotland)

Rotary drilling to more precisely confirm the existence (or not) of any former coal mine workings at shallow depth beneath the development site.

Blue skies, sunshine and a bit of warmth...it's been a while! ☀️ We were making the most of the conditions during this project, which was a hybrid of a ground investigation and preliminary assessments for potential water wells.

A welcome sight at the first of three test locations, on this water borehole project 💦 @hydracrat

The likes of farms, golf clubs, distilleries and factories need large volumes of water, and many want to investigate (cost-effectively) if a water borehole is likely to be a success.

"How many boreholes will the Ground Source Heat Pump need, and how deep?"
Determining the borehole specification is an essential consideration for GSHP designers, and an initial on-site investigation may be needed.

We were privileged to be drilling at this stunning coastal location recently, working with a links golf club on an exciting water well project.

We might be swimming in water of late, but some clients still have an eye on summer water needs.
A good "flush" on a probe borehole drilled for a links golf club on the south-east coast of Scotland. Successful locations to be developed into production water wells.
