1/3 One of the most important aspects of a golf course that often goes unnoticed by golfers is the irrigation design and layout. As always, Timmy Sethi is on point, keeping us on track while preparing the next BOQ for the upcoming phased irrigation installation.
1/3 Among the heavy showers this week, we experienced a few irrigation-related issues, including a pipe burst and some tank problems. Both were repaired quickly in-house, and the system is now fully operational again.

2/3 The new phased irrigation system is performing well when required on the holes where the back-to-back sprinkler design has been installed. In the short term, several older green sprinklers have also been upgraded with modern sprinkler technology -

1/2 Like most courses at the minute, our irrigation system is working hard through the night, while the water bowser continues to target areas without irrigation and assist with seed germination.

Another settled week with cool, dry conditions has provided excellent opportunities for tournament set-ups across the course.
We also took the chance to carry out some improvement work on a couple of our weaker greens, including mini tining, verticutting and topdressing.
Just a little insight into some of the conditioning improvements over the years.
There’s still much ahead of us, but we’re clearly heading in the right direction and making steady progress.

Great progress this week with the new phased irrigation project.
The new 18th mainline is now installed & primed, surge protection in place as well, all ready for the 17th & 18th greens next week.
