Tonight my wife cooked a US/Oklahoma born and raised steak on our grill (we calved it, raised it, took it to our family owned processor), medium rare, with stuffed mushrooms and asparagus. The finest steakhouse in the country couldn’t rival it … and we’ve eaten at them (slightly disappointed always when we do). She did this after out working me today, yet again. Buy local. Know your rancher. If you have a local ranch source, value the work they do and continue to support them. If you don’t and you’re in Oklahoma, DM me. No, it is not cheaper. Yes, it is humanely raised, loved in fact, by my wife everyday who values all life so preciously, and it is the highest quality beef you will ever taste. Before and after. Thank you God for this evening.

The U.S.A. exports 1.14 million metric tons of beef per year. We're going to import 300,000 metric tons of beef and sell it 25% below market value. What am I missing here? Can someone explain why we don't just cut exports? Maybe my logical brain is defective?

Any company caught using adulterated products should be subject to heavy fines and random testing to ensure consumers are getting exactly what they pay for. We have stricter testing standards for innocent sports athletes (something we watch) than for the food we put into our bodies. Athletes can be randomly drug tested to make sure they’re not putting an adulterated product on the field. Why not hold guilty food manufacturers to the same level of accountability? Many of us are willing to pay a premium to opt out of eating seed oils and to take advantage of that is disgraceful.
NEW: I am investigating avocado oil products for deceptive marketing and for the potential use of undisclosed seed oils.

Thanks @DietScold for the heads up! 🙏 Minor note; I did not wean off drugs and insulin under medical care. I did it on my own, as my blood sugars fell into normal ranges, I took less and less insulin ... until I didn't need it any more. So I quit insulin and the drugs ... and only told my doctor after the fact. He didn't condone it without telling him first, but he didn't disagree with my decision. Thanks @VinnieTortorich
In 2009, Steve Cooksey of North Carolina was hospitalized on the edge of a diabetic coma. Type 2 diabetes. He left on insulin, told he would be drug-dependent for life. Instead he cut the grains and sugars and went low-carb. He lost 78 pounds, and under his doctors' care came off insulin and every diabetes drug. Then he started a blog to share what worked. In January 2012, the North Carolina Board of Dietetics and Nutrition called him. He was under investigation. Days later they sent him 19 pages of his own website, marked up in red pen. Line by line. What he was allowed to say, and what he was not. Answering a diabetic's question, they said, was practicing dietetics without a license. A jailable misdemeanor in North Carolina. He was never charged. He did not need to be. The threat worked, and he shut his advice column down. Then he sued, on the First Amendment. In 2013 a federal appeals court unanimously revived his case. In 2015 the board surrendered and rewrote its own rules so ordinary people can give ordinary diet advice. His results are his own, achieved under medical care, and nobody should quit insulin off a blog post. But notice what the state never argued. Not that he was wrong. That he was not allowed. The truth does not need a license. #NSNG #NoSugarNoGrains #type2diabetes #lowcarb #freespeech #diabetes #censorship #vinnietortorich

Foreign beef doesn’t just undercut price. It blatantly supports foreign operators who abuse animals and ship diseased and low quality products. It undercuts all ranchers who actually care. What comes in is low grade product tied to systems with documented animal abuse problems: animals living in mud and manure, no shade in brutal heat, failed stunning at slaughter, and sanitary issues that show up as abscesses and refused loads at our ports. That’s why it’s cheaper. That’s not the standard small family American ranchers hold themselves to. We invest in better genetics, better pasture, better handling, and real welfare because it’s the right way to raise cattle. Then foreign-owned packers (JBS and the rest) flood the market with cheaper imports from operations that don’t carry those costs, mixing it all together will US beef, lowering all quality. The result? Our margins get crushed while the packers pocket the difference. More foreign volume doesn’t raise the bar. It rewards the lowest standard and slowly guts the ranchers who refuse to cut corners on the animals or the land. American cattle. American standards. Or we lose both.
Trump announces that the U.S. will allow 300,000 metric tons of ground beef to be imported and that it would be sold at 25 percent below market prices. All of this comes as Trump warns about the dangers of socialism and communism.

Undercutting domestic ranchers who are working with razor thin profit margins is not America first. And we wonder why American ranchers are an endangered species. At least give us origin labels so we know who we are supporting. It’s a big no for me to foreign beef.

Shout out to my friend @FergHodgson. He pushed me to write my book, "Starve the Machine", he also invited me to speak at the freedom loving, Calgary, Alberta event "Capitalism and Morality", September 11–12. I'll be talking about "Taking back our health and freedom"!! And about the only real leverage ordinary people have: stop funding the system that profits from keeping us sick and dependent. Big Food, Big Pharma, and the Medical Industry only have power over us because we keep paying them with our purchases. If you care about free speech, personal responsibility, and cutting the money that keeps the Machine running, please join us. Tickets: econamericas.com/capitalism-… #StarveTheMachine

On January 6th I followed the crowd into the Capitol and shouted. Police stood by the whole time, hanging out with us and sometimes directing us places. At one point near the House Chambers I was walking downstairs when a trio of some special section, secret service looking men started pointing guns in my direction. Confused and annoyed, I walked the other way and when I saw a normal police officer asked him why they were doing that. He informed me a protestor (Ashli Babbit) had been killed, and advised me to leave the building. I walked towards the exit and after a short rest on the bench I left. I harmed nobody and damaged no property that day and complied with all police orders. What I received for that was a pre-dawn raid at my parents house, where my 1 month post-partum wife and I were staying, on Biden's first day in office. His DOJ had signed the order to arrest me 3 hours after his inauguration. In the subsequent weeks I received death threats online and harassing phone calls, something that would be ongoing for the next few years. I was banned from Meta and Paypal. My wife and I were both debanked by PNC and banned from Airbnb. My wife was detained at the airport for hours with our newborn daughter. I was charged with 4 misdemeanors and the 1512 unconstitutional felony. The government offered to drop the misdemeanors if I pled to the felony. The felony was a lie, so I refused and went to trial. At trial the prosecution for 2 days straight was allowed to show footage to the jury of things that occurred around the Capitol I wasn't present for "for context." When we asked to put forward footage that contradicted the prosecution's "context" we were not allowed. They could show what they wanted, we could not. Police officers were then put on the stand for the next 2 days who cried about their experiences. I had no idea who they were. They admitted they never saw me or interacted with me. Nevertheless like every other J6er, I lost, and was sentenced to 4 years and $22k in fines and restitution. Yet even after the Supreme Court overturned the felony, the judge would not let me out until my misdemeanor sentences of a year were maxed out. Because she can't count she actually kept me in longer - to the extent she intervened at the last minute to make the prison release me on a Sunday, something that is against BOP rules. My family sat outside the prison gates the Friday before practically the whole day waiting in vain because of this pettiness. But the government wasn't satisfied with their pound of flesh: after my release they took me back in for resentencing, to attempt to have me resentenced after the fact to my misdemeanors consecutively, so I'd be taken from my family again and have another 1.5 years behind bars. This time I won, as they had no legal precedent and it skirted on violating double jeopardy since I had served my full prison time. Even still, it cast a cloud over the holidays and cost me another 20k my family couldn't afford. People ask whether prison was bad, and yeah of course prison sucked. It was a hard and violent place. I was present for a stabbing, and was lucky to avoid two fights and a race war. But dealing with Biden's DOJ and the DC Judiciary was the real trauma - they would grind down your spirit by weaponizing the legal system and use the endless procedure to bankrupt you. I had nightmares for months after release that I had somehow been hit with new charges. By the time I was pardoned by President Trump, I had spent literally every single day of Biden's presidency either in prison or under some form of supervision. I had incurred over $300k in legal fees and over $1 million in lost business. It was a reign of terror, and yet it was a mere foreshadowing of what they had planned for anyone else who opposed them under Kamala. The country should never forget it.

I don’t want AI to do all the work while I sit on the couch. I don’t want a drug that excuses my poor choices. I don’t want “free” healthcare. I don’t want to travel to the stars. I want hospitals where people actually go to get better. I want people to pick up their trash. I want the sun to shine as brightly as God intended. I want to eat steak and drink raw milk I bought from farmers. I don’t even want world peace, because it’s never going to happen. I just want inner peace. And I want people who can’t manage their own lives to stop telling me how to live mine

Red meat is a health food, it’s idiotic to avoid it
Thanks to 40 years of advice to reduce red meat consumption, more than 25% of kids and teens in the UK are now iron deficient. Well done Legacy Dietitians! Bravo Public Health experts! Another achievement to add to the list of obesity, overweight and diabetes driven by dietary advice that's based on weak/no science! Replacing dietitians with AI could turn out to be an improvement.

Elizabeth Warren says that $7 billion from Jeff Bezos could fund free insulin for everyone plus free lunches for Texas school kids The Somali community in Minnesota has stolen $9 billion from taxpayers since 2018 Don't say a word about any new taxes until you stop the fraud
Jeff Bezos has $222 billion. If he paid my wealth tax this year, we could fund insulin in America for everyone who needs it plus free school lunch for every kid in Texas—and have plenty of money left over. And Bezos would still have $215 billion dollars to spare.

Why the fuck does Jeff Bezos have to give you 7 billion dollars? The American people give the government around 7 TRILLION dollars every year and you fuckin retards haven’t fixed shit with it. You think if the creepy bald Amazon dude adds another 0.1% to that figure you’re finally gonna figure out how to stop blowing our fuckin money? Better idea, how about you give the other 99.9% to the private sector and see if they can figure out how to cure diabetes or make a sandwich for 4th graders. I bet they’ll have change left over.

Oysters. The food that filter-feeds through whatever water it happens to be living in, concentrating heavy metals, bacteria, agricultural runoff, and raw sewage into a small grey blob of uncertain texture. And we serve them raw on ice and call it fine dining. The oyster is not a delicacy. The oyster is a water treatment system. You are eating the sewage filter and telling your date it tastes like the sea. It does taste like the sea. That's the problem.
Same water. Same tank. But the one on the right has oysters. A single oyster can filter up to 50 gallons of water a day. Oyster reefs in the Chesapeake Bay once filtered the entire Bay, 19 trillion gallons, in under a week. Today, with less than 1% of the original oyster population remaining, it takes over a year. We ate them. We dredged their reefs. We dumped nitrogen into their water until the algae blooms choked what was left. And now we build billion dollar water treatment plants to do what oysters did for free. The Billion Oyster Project is working to restore oyster reefs in New York Harbor. Restored reefs in Maryland's Harris Creek can now filter the entire creek in under 10 days and remove nitrogen equivalent to 20,000 bags of fertilizer every year. Nature had this figured out. We just have to restore the oysters and get out of the way.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This is misleading. Yes, oysters are filter feeders, but they primarily consume plankton, not "sewage." They're harvested from regulated, tested waters specifically to prevent contamination. Oysters mainly filter phytoplankton and organic particles, not sewage. enviroliteracy.org/do-oysters-eat…
