Pens allowed 5+ goals in every game on this trip. Their play, with and without the puck, in their own zone is simply not even close to good enough. Add lack of forechecking and poorly executed backchecking… you cannot score your way out of those mistakes.

Michigan vs. Penn State might legitimately set the sport of college football back several decades. You can make a case that the forward pass should be retired and we should return to 11 a side.

Pitt is currently expected to make a quarterback change and start true freshman Corey Dailey against Boston College, sources tell @CBSSports. The Panthers enter the matchup 5-1. Dailey, a Texas native, was a Class of 2026 four-star recruit.

The 24 team playoff would work if we went back to smaller regional conferences Why don’t we make one huge mega money “conference” called maybe the “National College Athletics Administration” (NCAA for short) and then have as many 10 team *divisions* as we need?? Division winners make the playoff and then a set number of…wild cards??

Pirates GM derby is believed down to Ben Cherington of the Jays and Matt Arnold of the Brewers. Decision shouldn’t be far off.

If 13-9 happened under this new format, WVU would still get a first round bye. The Kick-Six just means Auburn and Bama change seeds but both get a bye. Crabtree scoring on the last play to beat Texas doesn’t affect Tex at all. 07 Mizzou and KU- both teams get a Bye.

Holstein was returning as a potential young star, but another potential young star, Heintschel, replaced him. What if Heintschel is now replaced with Dailey, and he becomes a young, potential star? And then this just keeps happening until the end of time?

The 24 team CFB Playoff reinforces one thing: I'm glad I retired in '25. I'm sure the television entity behind this decision and the gambling community will be thrilled with the latest news. CFB has morphed into a chaotic, lawless version of the NFL. Enjoy at your own risk.

Troy Aikman confirmed today he plans to leave ESPN after the Super Bowl 61 broadcast with Joe Buck. Aikman and Buck had been partners on calls for 25 consecutive seasons. There is significant buzz building that ESPN could be replacing Aikman with Pat McAfee in 2027.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Troy Aikman said he will be a free agent after this season but did not confirm plans to leave ESPN. McAfee has denied any conversations about replacing him in the MNF booth. latimes.com/sports/story/2… x.com/PatMcAfeeShow/…

Just so we’re clear … This system is designed for a 7-5 SEC or Big Ten team to get in over a 9-3 ACC or Big 12 team to get in over a 12-0 G6 team Got it. Good. 👍
