Gracing your timeline with fall beauty. I think it's so cool that someone crafted a rope ladder with sticks and string and secured it on a tree over the hill (in the first photo). I didn't notice it until after I looked at the picture at a later time. Maybe it's a good thing I didn't notice it right away because I probably would have had another Life Alert moment.

Sunrise on my final morning on the Black Sea coast. I’ve hit very lucky with the weather on this visit, apart from one day it’s been 20+ degrees and dry each day. I’ve grown to really like Batumi, it has sharpened up a lot & the surrounding nature is sensational.

The rose keeps its essence the way a ruin keeps its order.
Even in this dry, collapsing form, the architecture of the bloom remains—layered, intentional, still answering to light.
Architectural ruins do the same. They lose the living surface and still hold the idea.
What was built well does not vanish when it ages. It simply becomes quieter.

A textbook ice avalanche here. Precursory signals before the collapse ‼️, disintegration of the structure 🎳 and transformation from solid mechanics 🧊 to fluid dynamics 🌊 - granular flow ❄️ - and finally: formation of a suspended powder cloud ❄️🌬💨.

Those colourful balloons make a great sweep across the rocky landscape, @maoherrera7! Flying at just 5°C sounds chilly, but the clear blue sky makes for a cracking view. 🤗✨ #PanoPhotos #Cold

A little challenge for this week’s #FridayCrag. Where is this crag? 🤔📸

Free Fall is where the sky really takes on a life of its own, with vigorous mark-making creating a strong sense of movement. The land below picks up the colours of the sky, its detail and solidity acting as a foil to the expansive sky above. rebecca-vincent.co.uk/produc… #SkyArt #LandscapePrint #MovementInArt

Dry-stone walls, almond trees, fig trees, carob trees. The farming landscape of our islands is more than a photo backdrop: it is the result of centuries of work on the land. 🤲🏻💚
The Sustainable Tourism Tax funded a grant programme for farmers to restore dry-stone terrace walls and replant traditional dryland trees, which are increasingly threatened by drought and pests. Two lines of action to halt degradation and keep alive a landscape that defines the islands as much as the sea does. 🌊

ALT The broad trunk of a large tulip tree beside the lake at Stourhead. A dark, oval hollow sits high in the trunk and a rounded burr bulges from the right side. Leafy branches hang down on either side, the lake and a distant willow show through behind, and a few fallen yellow leaves lie on the grass.
