everyone is posting abt vtuber vocal stuff for some reason rn and that's kinda all i do so uh: here if you want a lukewarm take that'll die in the abyss of the internet; your voice is an instrument, if you decide to play the vocal chords, you practice hitting notes, holding notes, agility, stability, breath support, and stamina i try to look at it through the lens of if it was a guitar, or a flute, or another instrument you need to have "in tune"- so when a streamer is playing guitar on live, I like to listen to their technique when hitting notes in succession well, what they do to accomplish longer notes, where they breathe, if they can maintain a note with proper support without going out of tune, and find it impressive when they can maintain that but - everyone has a reason they listen to music, whether its the technique of the musician or just because they want things to be on key or hear something perfect to the recorded version idk I think everyone has different tastes, like if someone recorded themselves playing guitar and pitch corrected some of the notes to sound correct, some people would be like "oi that's disingenuous", and some people would be like "well that's their style" i like hearing the raw guitar, but not everyone does- and that's chill but I do think it would be nice as people know its edited so we don't get unreal expectations of human capacity that's kinda my take erm please don't set me on fire or anything and have a good day
