1/10 As you might know from my posts in the Ei:gentum Discord, I completely fell in love with these eggs and bought quite a few of them. In case they become valuable (well, they ARE, but the price is still quite low), I want to give back something to our society.

🚀 BIG NEWS! Next week, @book_io will officially launching Mint+Print™, our groundbreaking service in partnership with @IngramContent, the world’s largest book distributor. 📚✨
What is Mint+Print?
This end-to-end solution allows digital book owners to purchase high-quality, one-of-a-kind, unique, numbered, and ISBN-assigned physical edition of their book. Each copy can be verified at second-hand bookstores, bridging the gap between digital and physical ownership.
This marks a major leap forward in transforming ebooks into Digital Real World Assets (dRWA) with Physical Twins. Our technology will also support future expansion, enabling:
✅ The ability to purchase a physical book with a redeemable digital twin
✅ In-store physical book bundle purchases to include ebooks and audiobooks
📖 First Release: Frankenstein
Our first Mint+Print title will be Frankenstein, one of the earliest eBooks we launched. If you don't have a Frankenstein you can grab one on @jpgstoreNFT. Following this release we will roll out this functionality to other titles in our catalog.
At @book_io and @stuff_io, we are committed to mass user adoption and real blockchain utility – not speculation or hype. We’re building the future of media, one innovation at a time. 🚀🔥

"...Amazon has occasionally removed books from its online store and remotely deleted them from Kindles or edited titles and re-uploaded new copies to its e-readers. In 2009, the company removed copies of George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four and Animal Farm, explaining the books had been mistakenly published. More recently, many of Roald Dahl’s books, including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, were replaced with updated copies featuring modified language on various ebook platforms. It’s a reminder that you don’t actually own much of the digital content you consume, and without the ability to back up copies of ebooks, you could lose them entirely if they’re banned and removed."

Did you know? Cardano NFTs don’t require smart contracts.
This makes them cheaper, more secure, and easier to use than Ethereum NFTs. 🧵👇
1️⃣ What are Native Assets?
Cardano treats NFTs just like ADA.
They:
✅ Don’t need smart contracts
✅ Can be sent/received like normal tokens
✅ Are stored natively on-chain
2️⃣ How Are NFTs Minted on Cardano?
NFTs are created through minting transactions.
Instead of deploying a contract, you just:
🔹 Define metadata
🔹 Attach it to a native token
🔹 Submit a transaction
3️⃣ Where Is the Metadata Stored?
Unlike some chains where metadata is off-chain,
🔹 Cardano stores it on-chain
🔹 Accessible via wallets like @Tokeopay @Eternlwallet, and @lace_io
4️⃣ ALL Cardano Native Wallets Support Cardano NFTs
You can store & view NFTs in each one
5️⃣ How to View NFTs in Your Wallet?
Method 1: Directly in supported wallets
Method 2: Use Pool.pm to see all NFTs in your wallet 👀
6️⃣ How Do You Send NFTs on Cardano?
No smart contract interaction needed!
📌 Just enter a wallet address or a @adahandle & pay a small tx fee.
7️⃣ Why NMKR Uses Cardano for NFTs
Because it’s secure, efficient, and future-proof.
No-code minting & easy NFT management with NMKR Studio.

I don’t want to include a Teams link on the calendar invite. I don’t want to pay 50 different monthly subscription fees for all my software. I don’t want to upgrade to TurboTax platinum plus audit protection. I don’t want to install the Webex plugin to join the meeting. I don’t want to share my car’s braking data with the actuaries at State Farm. I don’t want to text with your AI chatbot. I don’t want to download the Instagram app to look at your picture. I don’t want to type in my email address to view the content on your company’s website. I don’t want text messages with promo codes. I don’t want AI to help me write my comments on LinkedIn. I don’t even want to be on LinkedIn in the first place.
I just want to pay for a product one time (and only one time), know that it’s going to work flawlessly, press 0 to speak to an operator if I need help, and otherwise be left alone and treated with some small measure of human dignity, if that’s not too much to ask anymore.

This is total misinformation 🤦🏻
Let's get some facts straight:
🔸It was not *his* memecoin, somebody created it without his consent
🔸He burnt 90% of the supply that they sent to him without his consent. This normally pumps the remaining token value by a lot (less supply, same demand)
🔸 People reckted themselves, all trying to sell for easy profit and pushing the token price to zero (no reason to keep buying it)
🔸This is a memecoin, it has zero intrinsic value and it's worse than a random gamble because insiders can dump whenever they want. You automatically know it can happen if you buy shit coins
Grow up and take accountability, this is all what web3 is about: your choices determine your financial future.
Now, back to building.

The handover of Cardano to the community can be compared to the event when Satoshi left Bitcoin.
In Satoshi's last email to Gavin Andresen, he wished not to be talked about as a shadowy figure. Bitcoin was taken over by the Core team led by Gavin.
The emphasis should have been on the open-source nature of the project.
Satoshi left Bitcoin about a year and a half after its launch. Founding entities are leaving Cardano after about 9 years.
From a decentralization perspective, it doesn't matter when, but if the original team/leader/CEO/entity allows the handover of control to the community.
In the case of Cardano, this has been achieved!
This will greatly affect the "made in America" category.
If we talk about where Cardano has its biggest roots, it will probably be Japan, Hong Kong, Switzerland, and America.
In terms of the power to decide the future of the project, Cardano is now global in the true sense of the word.
One of the Cardano CEOs can be anyone in the world, including you.
Plomin's hard fork is a big victory for decentralization.
The crypto industry may not realize it yet, but from a long-term perspective, this will be an important milestone in the development of blockchain technology.
In the competition for high TPS, decentralization is often overlooked. I believe that one day it will become a dominant topic again.

Hmmm, only 0.08%? My feeling is that half of it was paid by me. In the meantime I very much reduced making offers for ebooks and audiobooks of book.io at jpg.store of wayup.io because the fees become expensive with rising ADA.
My friend and NMKR coworker Sandro wrote a paper for uni about Cardanos sustainability.
He did some on-chain analysis comparing the current Annual Yield (Staking Rewards) vs the staking rewards if we only had transaction fees.
Green Chart: Transaction fees annual yield
Red Chart: Current actual annual yield
At its highest point transaction fees were around 0.08% yield per year, while the current yield is around 2.5% or so.
So TLDR;
We need a lot more transactions to make Cardano sustainable.
If we take the highest transaction fee yield we ever had, we need to 62x that number of transactions consistently to get to 5% annual yield.
We Germans once lost Albert Einstein to the US by this way of thinking.
Cardano isn't even a US Blockchain
Should they be shaping the future of digital assets in America?
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This post is falsely claiming The Cardano Foundation founded Cardano. IOHK, a U.S based company built the Cardano blockchain

The risk of politician coins comes from the fact that they are such a perfect bribery vehicle. If a politician issues a coin, you do not even need to send *them* any coins to give them money. Instead, you just buy and hold the coin, and this increases the value of their holdings passively.
Furthermore, there is deniability: holding the coin is, in terms of financial effect, a linear combination of donating to the issuer and gambling. Hence you can have the intention of doing the former but when challenged claim that you are doing the latter.
You can even hold the coin privately, and show that you are holding it to whoever you need to show; you do not need any zero knowledge proofs, you just send a test transaction.
This is all risky to democracy, for reasons very similar to what I wrote in vitalik.eth.limo/general/202… , vitalik.eth.limo/general/202… and elsewhere. TLDR: the economic arguments for why markets are so great for "regular" goods and services do not extend to "markets for political influence".
I recommend politicians do not go down this path.
I was sure this was coming. But I never expected it in the first week of his presidency.
In Germany we had 16 years of chancellor Kohl and 16 years of chancellor Merkel. Neither did Germany good. The two-term rule is one of the most important rules you have. Keep it tight!
NEW: Rep. Andy Ogles proposes amending the 22nd Amendment to allow President Trump to serve a third term in office.
A Trump vs. Obama matchup sounds lit.
Ogles has introduced a House Joint Resolution to amend the Constitution to allow a president to be elected for no more than three terms.
"President Trump’s decisive leadership stands in stark contrast to the chaos, suffering, and economic decline Americans have endured over the past four years," Ogles said.
"I am proposing an amendment to the Constitution to revise the limitations imposed by the 22nd Amendment on presidential terms. This amendment would allow President Trump to serve three terms, ensuring that we can sustain the bold leadership our nation so desperately needs."
