That was the most emotional speech I’ve ever given. It was an honour to host the first ever debate on this issue in our Parliament. I’m thrilled that the Government has listened to my call to do more to tackle #birthtrauma.

This literally brings tears to my eyes. Midwives are the most likely NHS professional group to report feeling 'often' or 'always' burnt out. Urgent investment and strategy is needed to change this shocking statistic @rosydevlin @RcmNi @NHSuk @hannahdahlen #midwives #wellbeing

This is a survey myself & @MarkWilliamsFMH have put together, the data provided will help us compile a report of father's and partner's experiences during the perinatal period. Only takes a few minutes to complete. Thanks Scott & Mark forms.gle/zcPZdVx6j9rKLGJWA

Really liked seeing this, a family is a family it’s a simple as that, we need to support all parents. Times have changed and we now have access particularly to fathers we haven’t had before.. no excuses anymore, supported parents are more equipped to support children!!..simple.
For Infant Mental Health including Dads and Partners in NICE CG192 is vital and imagine what the impact would be if we routinely ask #Howareyoudad in Maternity? Let’s think about making perinatal mental health truly family inclusive @MarkWilliamsFMH @MMHAlliance @WHO @PMHMidwives

This year's #WorldMMHDay theme is 'Stronger together' which truly resonates with us. Over a decade ago, our founders Dr Alain Gregoire and Emily Slater recognised the power of clinical and lived expertise coming together to influence change; the MMHA was born. #MaternalMHmatters

#MaternalMentalHealthAwarenessWeek As a Perinatal RMN at UHNM today I introduced compassionate circles and the flows of compassion to support my midwifery colleagues in their own well-being. We have to look out for each other! 💕 Happy #InternationalDayoftheMidwife

#MaternalMentalHealthAwarenessWeek #thepowerofconnection between UHNM Maternity PMH Team and Perinatal inpatient services. Thanks @BrockingtonMbu for helping us to tackle stigma and fear of the unknown for Mums, Dads/Partners when an MBU referral is discussed in maternity.

This is a picture most people take leaving the hospital right? Trying to keep up with social media and the "newborn bubble" but what I really felt was dread and suicidal thoughts. Please be honest with yourself and those around you. #hope #honesty #recovery
