I was reading this article and thinking "this is really good, does an amazing job of explaining a complex situation without being confusing" - and then saw the byline and realised why. Hannah is a national treasure.
🚨Hilary Cass has called for an independent inquiry into how Brighton GPs were allowed to prescribe cross-sex hormones to children as young as 12.“There urgently needs to be an investigation of why every system that should have protected children, young people, and indeed young adults has failed,” she told me.
The employment tribunal between Dr Sarah Redvers and NHS Sussex has highlighted how regulators and the NHS collectively failed to stop prescribing of puberty blockers and hormones against national guidelines - for years - and how instead the person raising concerns was accused of transphobia and herself investigated.
Dr Redvers sat down with me for her only newspaper interview about her treatment in a scandal which, Cass now says, “dwarfs” that of the Tavistock’s GIDS.

Why are some people pretending to find the @RRRunnersUK campaign hard to understand? Parkrun publish weekly results in a "female" category. The only purpose for that is to show females how they did compared to other females. There is no place for any men in those female results.

Interpretations of the Cass note and KCL Pathways protocol are that:
1. Children socially transitioned early will be transitioned as part of the trial
2. Social transition from an early age puts that child on an irreversible path to transition without any alternative being explored, or any attempt to determine whether it is the child's intention or that of the homphobic or transhausen by proxy parents
3. The trial is a state sanctioned transition programme.

Baroness Cass may have recently noted that the KCL Pathways Puberty Blocker trial candidates are typically children who socially transitioned in early childhood and maintain no concept of living in their biological gender after 18 months of therapy, yet failed to understand and point out that the KCL Pathways PB Trial is a transition trial not a PB trial.
