Cases like Charleigh's that are (apparently) at odds with the process should be used to strengthen that process. The main part of article that I wish people would focus on is this: Amid the controversy, an honest conversation about the health-care system is needed, said Sirrs. “We have emergency rooms closed. We have no ambulances available in small communities. We have huge waiting lists. We have surgeries that are not getting done. We can’t provide cancer care in a timely setting. “Our public health care system is crumbling, and we need to have an honest conversation with people, and not trying to look at it through rose-coloured glasses.” I could not agree more with this. Starting with what we're paying, what we're using it for, what results we're getting, what we should be able to expect, and who is responsible for making sure our health system is delivering.
