Hi, I’m Hat Stack Mike! I talk about video games, new and old, and wear a stack of hats. Series I like include: Sonic Zelda Smash Bros. Street Fighter Mario Donkey Kong Ace Attorney Mortal Kombat Banjo-Kazooie WarioWare Kirby NiGHTS Puyo Puyo and a LOT more. Let’s be friends!

My face when I find random food on the ground.

What do you think is the best launch game that released concurrently with a brand new console in your region? These are my top three picks: Super Mario World, Sonic Adventure, and Zelda: Breath of the Wild!

So Nintendo Switch Sports Resort might be a huge improvement over the original after all? I was MASSIVELY disappointed by the original Switch Sports, so I was going to pass on this because I didn’t want to be duped again, but if it’s really that good then I might check it out.

Sonic Adventure rewards exploration and has the best level design out of any 3D Sonic game!

It’s just a coincidence that I took the picture on this stage. 😛 Sarah’s stage is awesome, but I equally love a lot of other stages, including the ones you mentioned.

Is there a better 3D fighter than Virtua Fighter 2? I mean, probably, but not to my nostalgic, biased self.

The WORST Sonic lever ever, in my opinion. #Sonic #SonicTheHedgehog

It was awesome! I love how campy and fun it was, and I think they did a great job of adapting the game into a movie.

Seeing Street Fighter tonight and I’m super excited!

I can respect that! They’re just to satisfying to acquire.

I love collecting all sorts of profile icons as they become available in the Nintendo Switch Online app. I’m maybe a bit more into collecting these than I really should be. 😆 What do you all have for your Switch/Switch 2 profile icon?

Thanks, I appreciate the shoutout! 😀

Zelda 1!

I’d go for Earthworm Jim, myself.

Yeah, I always thought that was really weird too. I guess they just really wanted to push his AoStH look as being the prominent one during the Game Gear version’s release. Either way though, I vastly prefer the Genesis version.

These are some of my favorite pieces of video game box art throughout the years. What’s your favorite game box art?

For two out of three, yes! 😁 The store kiosk demo version I have is cartridge only, though, but it’s still really cool that I have that in the first place.

How many different versions of WarioWare: Touched! does one person need? Apparently three, if you’re me.

10 out of 10 I always love seeing NiGHTS appreciation!
