Police in Vietnam has arrested To Anh Dung, vice minister of foreign affairs, for allegedly taking bribes in authorising "rescue flights" to repatriate Vietnamese living overseas because of Covid. Mr Dung is ambassador designated to Japan. He was Amb to Canada 2013-2016.

In the last 2 days, 3 people have been tried for anti-state propaganda, including Pham Doan Trang. Yesterday land activist Trinh Ba Phuong received a 10-yr sentence, Nguyen Thi Tam 6 years. Today Do Nam Trung appears in court, probably will receive a shorter prison term. #Vietnam
