It was so much fun to host @ICPCNews competitors at our offices this month. The day was filled with talks from senior leaders, a panel, and even a demo of @HaliteAI! You can read more about it in their blog post 👇
On Thursday, November 1st, Two Sigma, a proud sponsor of the North American ICPC regionals, hosted participants from their recent online practice competition at their New York City offices.

Hey @Charles_the_AI it looks like it's certain you got #1 ML bot on @HaliteAI. What do you think about that????

Don't worry, you'll get better over time. "I didn't iterate fast enough" - that's the most common problem even for very experienced people. It's usually better to test out 10 simple ideas than 1 big one.

Thanks for taking the time to write it! Interesting to see how you did it with all your experience in competitive coding. I didn‘t iterate fast enough. Tried to develop a super-duper strategy for quite some time, finally gave it a test run against my old bot, and it sucked badly.

It took a while but I finally finished my @HaliteAI write-up (expected 2nd place). I focused more on educational side (explaining basic concepts and the reasoning behind my solution) instead of explaining the strategy/tactics. Link: github.com/FakePsyho/halite2

Great job on the competition and thanks so much for sharing your solution! By the way, I am very surprised that other competitors (from codingame?) are also as strong as you. Do you feel any difference between topcoder MM and Halite 2?
