Gute Neuigkeiten. Meine Oma wurde letzte Woche geimpft! Yay, science! Sie und alle Mitbewohner des Altersheims haben die Impfung gut überstanden. Bis auf ein wenig Schmerzen im Arm keine Probleme. Haben auch nicht gehört, dass sie eine Pflegekraft nicht impfen lassen wollte.

Yay - solved all days of #adventofcode2020 using @scala_lang. To be fair I sometimes peeked at the recordings of @lizthegrey and @PaulsonJonathan, because I didn't know how to tackle the problem or didn't understand what the _actual_ problem was :)

At one point used @sophiebits's solution to generate testdata for finding my bug :) So, thanks a lot for sharing your solutions for others to learn. I'm impressed by how fast you come up with a solution. On some problems I spent hours (esp. day20).

Just listened to @ASlavitt's interesting conversation with @karaswisher. Indeed great closing remarks by her! In German we would say: "you have spoken from my soul" :-) overcast.fm/+hphMznMpI/21:45

🤯 Blown away by the sneakiness of the vaccine researchers. Eat this, covid
The mRNA vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna) are kind of brilliant at a science level. I’ve had a few people in my real non-Twitter life ask me to explain how it works so I’m going to try my best here in this thread while I’m waiting for a patient to show.

I've completed "Operation Order" - Day 18 - Advent of Code 2020 adventofcode.com/2020/day/18 #AdventOfCode. Quite easy with the help of @li_haoyi's excellent FastParse library. #scalathankyou

I wish Int.MaxValue + 1 would throw an error though.
Man - one of the hardest parts in day16 of #adventofcode2020 is naming things. I mean, x, y, i, j are nice and all, but when you revisit your half done solution the next day it's like staring at a base64 string.

Wow - insane numbers. 🤯
Zoom was adding 5,000-6,000 servers (on AWS) a night as they scaled in the early days of the pandemic 😲 #reInvent

Just watched @lizthegrey solve today's #AdventOfCode2020 challenge. What an elegant solution for part2! Didn't have the brains today to solve it myself. Reminded me of university where we learned about mathematical induction and I still feel there's a bit of magic going on...

Today with @LukGolebiewski after 2 weeks of heavy battles, we've finally managed to remove horrible memory leaks in our Haskell application. Kudos to @bgamari for 1 hour of mentoring and David Eichmann for his "Understanding Memory Fragmentation" blog post. What a ride that was!

Hi @nathankpeck! We had a discussion today at work about the carbon footprint of @awscloud. Can you tell if there is a plan on reducing it significantly in the near future?
