Firefighter Barry Martin suffered serious injuries while responding to a serious and complex building fire in Edinburgh yesterday.
Barry, 38, remains in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and is in a critical condition.
Our thoughts are very much with Barry and his family at this time.
Great to spend a few hours this afternoon/evening with @HWFireControl adding a little support following some staff sickness. A really dedicated group of staff at the frontline of our response keeping the public safe – at Worcester, England

It was a cold@one tonight so the @HWFire cadets spent the evening in the warm working in radio skills and knots and lines. Some head scratching going on working out ways to communicate when you can’t see the object.
