School Streets help create safer routes to school by restricting traffic during drop-off and pick-up times. Since 2021, the number of School Streets in London has grown from 451 to nearly 800.

More than 5 years ago we asked @TfL for a zebra crossing outside Linden Children Centre alongside 20mph (which is in place now but not enforced) and trees (zero trees).
To this day there is no safe crossing and wide enough pavements for families and children.

Every child should be able to walk or cycle to school safely, but we know many people are put off by safety concerns, poor crossings or inaccessible streets.
@TfL’s Walk and Wheel Plan will make streets safer and more accessible for everyday journeys.
