We're off! After pre-deployment training with @FOST last week, @HMSExample and @HMS_Smiter are repositioning to the Baltic Sea for #BALTOPS25. #ductusexemplo #coastalwarfare

Between 4,000 and 7,000 British troops are estimated to have been lost in the sinking, whilst evacuating France in 1940. #ductusexemplo #coastalforcessquadron #lestweforget

As the sun rises over Saint-Nazaire harbour, sailors of @HMSExample commemorate those lost in the sinking of RMS Lancastria at the site of the wreck.

We are grateful to the mayor, town and Saint-Nazaire Society for hosting a number of social, educational and memorial events. On the 83rd anniversary of the raid, the memory of the Charioteers lives on. @UKinFrance #ductusexemplo #coastalforcessquadron #lestweforget

OPERATION CHARIOT, known as 'the greatest raid of all' was thought to be an impossible task, only successful due to the heroism of those involved.

What a week! Following a change of command here on @HMSExample, we joined @HMS_Smiter to contribute to memorial events in Saint-Nazaire.
