The military partnership between Niamey & Algiers is great to see, and I really hope the AES builds a robust relationship with Algeria.
Because Mali, Burkina Faso have one insurmountable Achilles heel: they are landlocked.
When you do not have a coastline, there is a hard cap on what your country can achieve economically, politically and militarily.
If your neighbors with coastlines sanction your imports or ever become belligerent, you only have two options.
Option one: you wage war to physically capture and hold some patch of shoreline for yourself, which is very difficult...
Or option two: you come hat-in-hand to the negotiating table in the hopes of cutting a shitty deal -which is humiliating.
Beyond the economics of having Algeria on your side, our North African brothers have a very competent military.
They spend big, and are one of the few on the continent along with Egypt that can manhandle the NAF

#OSINT United Airlines Boeing 787 (N27903, UA613) flew to Washington, US from Lagos, Nigeria on the 27 August.
1. Onboard the flight were FBI Agents from Operation Artemis facilitating the extradition of 2 Nigerians (Adebola F. Adekunle & Mudasiru A.) to 🇺🇸 for sextortion crimes.
This FBI has brought back two high-value targets from Nigeria to the United States to face justice for alleged sextortion crimes targeting minors.
🔺 Adebola Festus Adekunle and Mudasiru Afeez Olawale were arrested in Nigeria in 2023 and are now on U.S. soil.
🔺 The charges include sexual exploitation of minors, coercion and enticement, extortion, distribution and production of child sexual abuse material, and other offenses.
🔺 One of these alleged schemes resulted in the death of a child.
They were overseas for three years. Now they’re back on U.S. soil to answer for the charges against them.

First it was Ramastine, now it’s (Rota) Spain.
This flight could be linked to the United States pulling troops and equipment out of Spain, due to recent diplomatic rift with President Pedro.

The aircraft landed safely but skidded off the runway due to the adverse weather conditions.
From my flying experience, this is Brazilian made aircraft called EMBRAER 170 , manufactured in 2001 (25yrs ago) . 170 is a very small and light jet .
Even such rainy conditions, it’s not ideal to fly sign small aircraft.
Only French AIRBUS A models and BOEING aircraft can handle such rainy conditions.
But ofcourse, these aircraft are very expensive even for a used units
Almost other airlines in the world has stopped using the 170 and upgraded to newly 175 model .
Enugu airline is very stupid for gambling with people’s lives.

Yes, Ukraine itself has publicly admitted its involvement in the ambush of a Malian-Wagner (African Corps) military convoy in 2024. 47 Malian soldiers were k!lled as a result of that ambush. Ukraine provided intelligence & FPV drone training to the terrorists (JNIM & Tuaregs).

At this point & with publicly available information, terrorist groups don't act alone. It's more of internal saboteurs and external forces. The external forces fund the whole thing & the internal saboteurs do the groundwork.
Mali's was very clear: Ukrainian GUR was involved.

You have identified the critical danger. This is not just about AK-47s anymore. This is a sophisticated, funded network building a parallel infrastructure with solar energy, satellite internet, and drones on the horizon.
The military has proven it can intercept this tech, as the 400 Starlink seizures show . But we are playing catch-up. The moment we ignore this "new trending camp setup," the fight becomes exponentially harder.
We are not just fighting men with guns anymore. We are fighting an agile, tech-savvy, and well-funded criminal enterprise. Your observation is not speculation. It is a clear and present danger.
