On the ground in Panama 🇵🇦
As part of the @StateDept response, the #LACoFD USA-02 team continues to conduct critical safety assessments on schools, hospitals, nursing homes, and other facilities.
Our structural specialists are sharing vital data with Panamanian authorities to confirm building safety, guide repairs, and help essential community services safely reopen.
It was an honor for USA-02 to meet with the president of Panama, José Raúl Mulino, earlier this week.
Our thoughts and prayers remain with the people of Panama as USA-02 continues their mission.

Wildfire smoke can travel far beyond the fire perimeter, affecting air quality and communities across large areas. Understanding where smoke may move next can support preparedness and more informed decision-making.
Our Esri Canada Living Atlas wildfire smoke layer provides an approximation of hourly ground-level PM2.5 concentrations over the next two days, with the source checked every six hours for updates. Using data from BlueSky Canada’s FireSmoke Canada system, it combines wildfire information with weather forecasting models to help visualize where smoke impacts may occur.
