Mr Black's S1 class were treated to a Russian taster this week to celebrate @LangsWeekScot . Pupils did a great job at spelling their names in the Cyrillic alphabet using Play-Doh.

We have had a great time celebrating Languages Week. Vielen Dank to James who gave our S2,3 and 4 learners a great talk about why German is such a great language to learn! @LangsWeekScot @GI_Glasgow

Studying a modern language is a really rewarding and practical experience. Before Christmas, Ms Malaisé took our S3 beginners' Spanish learners to a tapas restaurant. After only 4 months of learning the language, the pupils were able to order in Spanish! ¡Muy bien!

Mr Black and Mrs Duncan took S3, S4 and S6 German learners to the Goethe-Institut where a great day was had by all learning about how useful learning German is to a wide range of careers. @GI_Glasgow

Our staff enjoyed a French café at break time. The croissants went down a treat!

Well done to Mr Black's S3 class who took on the challenge of racing against the clock (and each other) to find out more about German-speaking countries. A special well done to the winning team!

The Modern Languages teachers at Hamilton College would like to thank our catering staff for getting on board with our EDL celebrations and providing us with a lovely continental menu at lunch today!

S1 took on the challenge of writing or shaping with Playdough letters from different countries. Bon effort!

We had a fantastic day celebrating European Day of Languages! The Transitus pupils had a great time dressing up!

To celebrate European Day of Languages, we encouraged staff and pupils to wear the colours of their chosen country. Our resident mandarin enthusiast, Ms Malaisé wore her Chinese dress and our German teacher, Mr Black wore the colours of the German flag.
